...awesome... the new "widescreen-support" means black bars left and right by now? srsly?
Yes, GGG did a pathetic work this time, really bad, really really bad...

Previously it was possible to manually set the aspect ratio of the Path of Exile client to be very short and wide, allowing you to see an unintended amount of the level at once. A limit needed to be set. Because of server serialisation distances, this maximum aspect ratio is currently set to 21:9. This is the widest that we can currently go before we start hitting the cutoff where entities and effects vanish. We are looking at being able to increase this in the future.

This note was accidentally missed from the patch notes. We're very sorry for that oversight.
Well, that's a fucking shit change.

49" ultrawide monitor reduced to black borders taking half the screen.

Enough with this game.
GGG, you need to allow higher resolutions in 2022.
REVERT THE CHANGE GGG!
This is nonsense!
I have a Samsung G9 49" 32:9 monitor, and this game is now only using half of it...
It was glorious last league!

Same. The G9 monitor has flawlessly shown POE in glorious detail for over a year since I got it. And now it is just black bars and annoying to look at. Please do reconsider this change
Same here G9 user, now the game looks old and hugle....
Hard for me to want to play poe on my new monitor when there's hundreds of other good games that support it.

Also, to tease the ultrawide interface update and then straight up remove ultrawide support is infuriating.
