ITT: People who don't know what they are talking about defending an obviously nonsense decision from GGG that needs to be fixed.

Imagine seeing other monsters on the screen before other players, and thinking it's not an advantage.

D2R doesn't but that's because it has a legitimate reason - the game logic is over 20 years old and doesn't work out to 32:9

PoE has now broken ultrawidescreen support for fake pretend reasons and they need to fix it.

Imagine never playing the game on an ultrawide and so not having a clue what you're talking about, yet doubling down on some arbitrary and imaginative arguing point when corrected by someone who has.

I'm not wrong though. It's an advantage. Your confirmation bias is showing. You must own a nice monitor, lol.

By that logic, owning a high end graphics card is also an advantage and GGG should hard limit everyone to 60 FPS (or why not 30?) and remove the various graphics settings, sound channel count, etc to ensure a more level playing field.

No.

Hardware advantages are fine and don't fall under the common-sense definition of pay to win, which is "in-game power purchasable with real-world currency from the game developer."

Yeah these guys are just reaching for straws to defend GGG, because reasons.

Something like playing at 240fps on a 240 Hz monitor is much more of an advantage then playing at 60fps on a 32:9 monitor.

If you're not going to argue for a game-wide FPS cap, you need to shut your mouth about aspect ratios giving a gameplay advantage.

You trying gain title of king of white knights ??. You dont has ultrawide so dont can speak about nothing in this topic,
Just like widescreen is an advantage over tubes. So? I have never heard of anyone complaining about such a thing. I have never seen a company not allowing higher aspect ratios because it's not fair. You have to evolve with the times.

Not having ultra-widescreen support is ridiculous but not nearly as ridiculous as telling people they shouldn't be allowed to use it.

What's next, not being able to use surround sound because you can hear things behind you? What an unfair advantage. Ban it!

Hey, let's put a limit on bandwidth so everyone has the same!

Let's only allow graphics that can be supported by an onboard gpu!!!!!!

Let's ban mice that use lasers, some people might be stuck with balls!!!!!!!!!!

24fps 640x480 resolution and framerate cap to capture the pure Diablo 2 sequel experience and keep things 100% fair.

Also, you have to use a controller because it's not fair to controller players that some people have the superior input method of mouse and keyboard.

Oh, and no more audio either, because it's unfair to deaf and hard of hearing people.

And the whole game is grayscale because there are some folks who are colorblind.

And everyone gets a minimum of 150 ping, otherwise it's not fair to people with poor connections.
