POE 2 to have Open Zones, WPVP, World Bosses, Bigger Towns, More Multiplayer, RP Taverns, Future.

Then, advocate for someone to make an mmo that you want, or to fix the existing mmos

dont advocate turning this ARPG, into a shitty mmo. a whole lot of us dont want anything to do with a PoE MMO
Threads like this kind of make you appreciate GGG's vision for the game.
Most streamers respect PoE for the game it is.
It's not streamers that will keep this game successful it's players wanting to be challenged and believing in a game company that wont every week empty their wallet.

in what pvp game is there any real flexibility in skill and talent choices?

also op is not recognizing that pretty much every game is p2w. and mmos dont really give a shit about pvp to begin with

True. Kinda funny. Tho still a doomer end result of a reply. Most of the big mmorpg streamers aren't pvpers. So ye I see where this talk leads to. Tho I have to mention; the reason pvp has failed isn't what you believe it is. For most mmo's at least, not speaking of this arpg's relation to pvp features. For most mmo's pvp didn't fail due to not enough pvp attention. They failed simply from the devs neglecting pvp features, due to greed. Why implement pvp features when you have a Yacht?! How much has Blizzard made since Vanilla WOW? You tell me. $$. So why wasn't their first BG fixed? Not enough players playing it? Alterak Valley. Vanilla had millions of people play that map, never fixed, unfair horde advantage by 99.8%. Never fixed. Attention of pvps fault? Nope. Devs hanging out on Yachts & not fixing their 1st 40verse40 map? Yep.

So yes as a real life elf, who also likes skill based game. I have to play Planetside 2 for skill pvp from time to time. Which isn't a fantasy mmorpg my favorite genre. PS2 is mmofps scifi shooter, yet where else is a lvl 1 able to kill a lvl 220 with some skill & progression? Yet PS2 is underrated due to bad SOE marketing from release.

Ragnarok Online had popular pvp, thousands attended, did that games pvp fail due to pvp attention? No IRO failed due to bots mainly & then korean grind or lack of quests. GW2 never really evolved its fighting experience, it stayed at a arena battle royal style experience & WvW turned to a meaningless train run. Nothing that was action or skill based enough. The skill for GW2 was minute lessons overtime, more like reading a book than actual fighting IQ. WoW Classic classes were unfair too.

im pretty sure they fixed alterac valley last i checked. tho that map isnt played anywhere close to what its original intention is anymore since ppl just bumrush the towers then the final boss in a total playtime of 10 minutes on that place but yea i do agree that pvp is mostly dead because of lack effort for the most part but also mmos and pvp doesnt really mix well because the standards of pvp is typically supposed to set everyone in equal stat conditions which is the opposite of mmo's gear progression idealogy

Stress mine.

I'm desperate to know what being a 'real life elf' has to do with 'having to play Planetside 2'.

I've never met a real life elf so is this a common interest for your race? Has anyone told the devs about this? They could maybe tailor the game more for real life elves. Untapped market and whatnot.

Also, which sort of elf are you? The Deedlit kind, the Drizzt kind, the Fae kind? One I've neglected to mention?

As to the query which pvp game has flexibility in skill and talent choices? Uh, that's easy. The game GGG wish they could have made: Guild Wars 1. And yes, people still play it.
The name says it all.
Having a hard time parsing out what parts of the OP's long post are wishful thinking, which are hearsay, and what if any of these features is actually truthfully being considered for PoE 2.

Easy fix: go look at the official PoE '2' page. Anything else? First two.

The name says it all.
Not every game needs to be open world seamless because we are in 2022.

Not every online game needs to be similar to an MMO, I'm glad PoE isn't.

D4 will probably sell by it's name only, Blizz only kept getting worse and getting themselves into PR fiasco every year. D3s few redeeming qualities are vastly overshadowed by PoE's qualities(even with it's problems)

PoE is based on D2, not D4.

PoE is a solid game that stands its ground just as it is, no need to implement all this BS.

For now GGG just needs to smoothen the edges and PoE2 is a good opportunity for a good change, PoE is an unpolished gem, but a gem nontheless.

This is the most important thing. After that, who knows...

...Uhm, wouldn't 'smoothen the edges' be a better move, given how rough PoE still is?

No worries, just checking. :)
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
