POE 2 to have Open Zones, WPVP, World Bosses, Bigger Towns, More Multiplayer, RP Taverns, Future.

The biggest difference between D2 and PoE isn't that PoE is designed like a race game its that player mentality has changed, nobody played D2 with specific purpose aside from having a good time and developing their character.

Many players in PoE have live charts running showing their networth.

These mindsets aren't remotely comparable and once you've hit the second you can't draw comparisons anymore because the purpose of playing it is too different to the first.

D4 is an MMO-lite because it gives better access to monetisation than a standalone sale it isn't for primary design reasons its an answer to the question how can we make this game generate 1 billion + revenue.

Some of the features are quite exciting and could add something to the dynamic but I have an internal tug of war going on between the potential of those features vs the fact blizzard have scumbag management. My optimism is telling me some features like pseudo open world and shared bosses will be a fun addition whereas the cynicism is telling me its nothing but a fulcrum of evil to access our wallets.

Cynicism is right 9 times out of 10.

Honestly i'd rather PoE 2 in comparison was simply PoE1 with the quality it should have had if they had access to the money/resources when they started and the systems reined in to where everything doesn't look stupid to a practiced eye.

As in, their virtual net worth i.e. in-game currency, or streamer revenue? If the former: wow, I'm fascinated. If the latter: meh.

So I'll assume the former.

I find it really odd that people would choose PoE as a target for their obsession for virtual/pretend net worth -- surely there are better games out there for that, with much more robust trading systems and even legal/dev-approved ways to leverage that virtual wealth into real world value. Or is it more that these 'many players' have sort of exhausted what PoE can do for them as an ARPG, but are now 'invested' so to speak, so part of extending their time with it involves engaging with the economy?

I'm genuinely curious here.

Edit: LOL. Okay folks, just an fyi -- don't mention make vague references to RMT sites even for other games. Even if it's common knowledge even GGG devs used to use the one to which I made vague reference. Nice to know, Support. Cheers. ^_^

edit 2: MY BAD it's also used for PoE RMT (pretty fucking ironic considering). Funny reading all the forum posts of 'I got banned from PoE!' on there...fucking whoops. Don't RMT kids. Seriously. It's bad for your health.

The name says it all.

No thanks.
Ah yes, RP taverns is what eeveryone wanted in this game.
I have reserved the character name Bloodninja in anticipation of RP zones being added & hoping that GGG will add a robe & wizard hat MTX soon.

Did I miss something? Is OP someone? A brief glance at their post history just tells me they're one of those 'I can't make my character look like I want and it makes it hard to play this game' types who seem not to realise not every game is an MMO. ^_^

OP just consistently pushes for MMO/WoW type gameplay and has made a bunch of threads/posts to that effect. They also tend to hand out a bunch of ad hominem for anyone that disagrees.

They seem refuse to accept that a game designed differently could be viewed as better by someone. Now that D4 seems to meet their need, they've decided to come here and push the narrative again to change POE, rather than be happy that they are getting the game they want to play.

So to summarily answer your question, they are someone, but not in any kind of special way that differentiates them from most other people on here.

Thanks for all the fish!

Got it, cheers.

I'm bowing out anyway -- see my last edit. I can't stop laughing.

Pretty sure it's this guy: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3179593
what planedside 2 shooter has to do with d2 la or poe ?

why you lying there are no rewards from PvP in lost ark ?

i would like to have open world poe 2 game, but i hardly belive it will happen
whole game is instanced and you just jump from place to place

i hope diablo 4 do it well,
better like in LA, with hostility mode
but after interviev with D4 team they wanna make zones where you can only pvp.
that sucks but people now are too fragile to get killed outside safe zone/town

all of these games have other points to farm for

i farm in diablo 2 to get best PvP gear
i farm in poe to farm better, faster pvpis nonexistant. got meme arena
i farm (or just pay) in la to unlock newer content and pvp is equalized.
