PoE time has passed
" Sry for bad link. And yeah I was looking for hard content. What is the point of saying "I steamrolled Dominus, so I didn't do the next content because it just looked just as EZ-PZ" so I left the league, game wasn't even challenging. If I say something like that it will be seen as trolling because it is. So I guess you can understand why saying you steamrolled 3.13 to the point it was so boring to you that you didn't challenge the next content, then the next, then the next........looks like trolling to me. I wouldn't farm 100% delirium with your glad, wouldn't farm 5 ways....etc... it's an A-RPG, doing a content is a thing, being able to FARM it is the whole point and a whole other story, it's a farming game genre, this is why we seek upgrades, to farm the hardest content, to steamroll the hardest content at crazy fast speed, this is why we seek optimization and such, why we corrupt the hard earned HH. I guess you understand the difference between doing a content and FARMING a content. Even tho I hardl believe your bleedbow glad could even do all content, much less steamroll it/farm it. |

" Ofc I do understand the difference and you are free to believe whatever you like. I was never interested in farming 100% Deli maps. Been there, done that and was bored - not of the fights in those maps, dont get me wrong. But picking up all that stuff, having to backtrack the entire map after clearing it is just not my cup of tea. Didnt enjoy that part at all and wouldnt call it challenging or interesting or anything else but boring. But thats just me. If you enjoy that - have fun. |

" my dude, you don't have enough credibility to talk about power creep since it's extremely unlikely that you haven't killed endgame boss in 3.13 (even once) because it was "too easy and boring" LOL, actually it is one of the most ridiculus things i've heard on these forums recently. people don't kill endgame bosses because they are too hard and/or players are too bad at the game nobody was suggesting farming maven, because this is indeed boring, garbage fight, we were talking about killing maven at least once since its the hardest boss in the game (outside of some deep aul with bad mods), and homo sapiens are created the way that they always push the boundaries of power and trying to put a dick into anything that has hole(s) so either you are trolling, winbaging, or you are an alien specimen who came to the earth and behave differently than homo sapiens dead game bring back 3.13 Last edited by Tainted_Fate#2799 on Aug 25, 2021, 12:16:12 PM

" I am trying to understand if you ever read the news in your life and if you have ever read any news regarding blizzard situations. |

" Having played D3 again after a seven year break, I have to say POE is already surpassed by D3 in its current state. The game is more fun, its better balanced and it runs better. Best is, you can actually find your gear and dont need to buy it from someone. I do not see how or why D2R should be a threat, they only improved the graphics, the game is still the old and while it was fun 20 years ago, it just doesnt trigger me anymore. Blizzard sadly missed the mark here by not improving the game, personal loot, new items and talents were much needed. As for D4, time will tell. I honestly dont see why POE 2 is supposed to be much different from POE1. GGG would need to stop forcing us into trading first, to truly get their playerbase back. In an ARPG you want to find items, not buy them on external websites. It is a real shame that such a great game like POE, is ruined by such a silly mistake. Either give an auction house or make SSF with better crafting and higher drop rates. |

" This is why. Something new always seems somhow better, also had this feeling when I tried a season after many years break from D3. But you will hardly do two consecutive seasons in Diablo 3 mmw and even during a season you will get bored much sooner. But yeah it's quite refreshing to go, easily gear your char to get it going then looking for Ancient-primal upgrades. Builds are straightforward, effective playtime is MUCH MUCH MUCH higher than in PEO (I would say it is easily doubled, because no alt tab for trade site, no trades, no lootfilters setup, no sextants rolling, no map rolling, no time loss to check the mods, item quant, undoable mods, beyond, nemesis....etc..no time lost to buy your sextants/scarabs/maps. No crafting, just rerolling here and there...etc....easily switch between your farm build and GR push build. And gambling with Kalandra feels more rewarding than gambling all your currency in POE to get nothing. And I could continue the list for a long time. I know exactly your feeling right now, but you will get done for many years just after this season mmw. But I agree with you, crafting and min-maxing should be the really end-game and you should self-find upgrades much longer than now, for example items ilvl86 shouldn't be able to roll trash tier rolls, simply removing the lower tier rolls the higher the ilvl would alow for MUCH MORE self found upgrades, and it won't change the fact that you will still have to invest into crafting if you want your six T1 particular rolls to min-max your gear. The same way ilvl1 cannot roll the highest tier rolls, ilvl86 shouldn't be able to roll the lowest tier rolls. Last edited by Killerspintt#7032 on Aug 25, 2021, 1:53:20 PM

" It's worth noting games don't have to be in the same genre to take players away. I for example have quit poe (will see how 3.16 looks to decide if I come back) and I am now playing Humankind, a 4x game. A game doesn't only lose players to games of the same genre. If POE continues down its (currently) unpopular path, it will continue losing players, whether to rpgs, 4x, strategy, etc, or none-gaming related hobbies even. I dont think it will "die", but it's current projection, if continued, will mean the playerbase continues to shrink, with leagues starting with the kind of numbers you'd see after 1 month in 3.13 for example, maybe month 2. |

I'd have to disagree, senior management where I work (US based multinational) leave for a variety of reasons. Sure some are pushed, others move on for new challenges, some quit to take time out with their family, and some leave for less paid, lower stress jobs. People don't always get pushed, it's just one of many reasons. |

Unless the game is split, with hard mode, and then reverting most these nerfs for the normal mode, the game will stagnate.
It will lose all the growth and just the 30-40k people playing now, that enjoy the gamestyle where you constantly struggling for everything, will stick around. They will scale back their company to the couple of founders, and will be remembered for what it could have been. "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. " ~ Hunter S Thompson ~

" This might be partially true. As you said you might come back. I also play Civ, Rimworld, CK3, ... Sure it might happen a totally different game pulls a player away forever but that probably means that player isn't really someone who goes deep into ARPG's. |
