Diablo 3 sucks, like I said... $60 for an unfinished game and then add in TONS of auction house money and the fact that they had 12 years to make it. Anyone who buys this before they add the PVP in is crazy.
They could delay it a year giving bull excuses "no one will remember the delay if it's good when we release it" lol
Why would I care if a feature I never use isn't in yet?
I played tons of D1 and D2 (and torchlight, and currently PoE) and have yet to PvP. In D2, I would just TP/quit when someone declared hostile.
Guess I'm just crazy to want to play a co-op game with my friends. :)

That's fine, nothing wrong with that. This game would just get old fast in my case, since I love pvp. I factor in everything and with the auction house lets say on average it ends up being $20 per person even conservatively... That's 80 bucks for an incomplete game

He wants to have (or at least, he acts like he wants to have) a game he can always play, even if practically no one would ever play it singleplayer.
I understood that from his posts. Why he would expect Diablo 3 to offer that, when it was never going to be that kind of game, is what I'm questioning here.
There is only one reason to EXPECT single player mode in D3. It was a staple of the first two games. In fact you couldn't get all the content in D1 multiplayer. Not surprising that at least a portion of the fan base would expect this to be available in the sequel.
That being said I agree with Blizzard in not making single player available due to the ease of code exploitation.

Well there's your problem. Why would you want to play Diablo 3 in single player mode? There is no such thing as single player mode in Diablo 3.
What the what? Are you posting from an alternate universe? Because I'm pretty sure I played the fuck out of the D3 open beta in both co-op and single player modes.
...I get the feeling there isn't any ground to be gained in this conversation... I'll just ignore the rest of the post.
Please try not to play dense.
Yes, you were running around in a game by yourself. ONLINE.
Singlplayer in the Diablo franchise has been offline by yourself. There is no "single player mode" in Diablo 3.
You are more then capable to create an online game and disable the option for friends to auto-join you if you choose, though. But, you're still having to connect online to play alone.
This discussion was never about "if you can play alone". It was about "I should be able to play OFFLINE".

Yes, because we are all crazy to buy and play what is a PvE focused game because we can wait for a FREE patch later with PvP.
I still don't understand why the $60.00 is an issue for anyone. Was anyone expecting anything different for the retail price?? If so, what in Blizzards history would make you think so?

Where are you pulling these numbers from? $20 per person to use the RMAH? why is this required? You are aware there are free listings correct? You never have to spend a dime out of your own pocket if you choose to participate.
Blizzard games are never truly complete. They work on them long after the retail release. Which is more then you can say for a majority of publishers who give their games no second thought after retail.

The thing is, the only reason the first 2 games had singleplayer is because the numer of people with (decent) internet was nowhere near as large as it is now.
The amount of people you actually help with SP versus the amount of time / money it would cost is simply not worth it from a business standpoint. Not to mension there's also things like exploitation to consider, like you said.

Okay? What are you trying to prove with this.
You still can list your auction for free. It still doesn't cost you anything out of your pocket up front and the entire system is still optional.
yes they take a cut once the item has sold, not before.

This ^
I also find it rather amusing that he (xxsjxx1) is bringing up an 'average price per person', as history has proven that people actually spend tons of money on F2p games, thus meaning you could also easily say that POE will cost for example '20 dollars PP on average'.
