Is the RTX 3080 too much for POE?

if srsly i hope price would drop alot more!

it slowly become duo polia... so price keep higher and higher

i play on a 1440px 144hz monitor with an rtx1060... terrible, cant even get 60fps (usually 40fps on fights). Im planing to buy a new pc next month with an ryzen 5 5600x and i think that rtx3070 cant even reach this 144fps with 1440px in this game couse of this terrible optimization, so im going for the rtx3080 for sure

It all depends on the resolution. I've upgraded to a 4k 144Hz monitor, so I want to play poe in 4k with the most frames possible (144fps preferably), so a 3080 shouldn't be too much at all. (I plan to play all games in 4k, so its worth it for me personally)

If it's worth for u if u use it just for poe... well that's a question no1 but urself can answer.

If u plan on playing 1080p or even 1440p, then yeah a 3080 might be too much.

Having a RTX 3070 paired with a Ryzen 7 3700X here on a 1440p165Hz monitor. Poe is in the range of 60 to 80 FPS with everything in max quality. GPU usage always near 100% and CPU around 60 to 70 mostly.

This game competes with ARK survival in champions of bad GPU optimization. For reference in COD Warzone i'm having always over 130 FPS with everything max except ray tracing because it's not worth it in this game.

I wish more people can understand that CPU accounts for so incredibly much in terms of performance for games such as POE. Your low fps has almost nothing to do with 'gpu optimization'.

Your cpu is a 3.6 out of the box with a boost of 4.4. Even boosted that's a medium to low overclock. And that's for ONE core to be boosted to that, because you have an AMD 8 core.

And you even point it out for me; you compare this game to COD. COMPLETELY different in terms of gpu / cpu usage. COD just needs your gpu for image rendering, there's not NEARLY as many calculations going on.

For reference I play on 3440x1440, and Depending on just what's going on I can get anywhere from 100fps to my 200fps max. I'm still using a 2080ti, but it's thanks to my i7 that I have boosted to 5.1ghz.

Yea, my 2080 TI is heavily bottlenecked in most games by my 3950 but this doesn't stop gamers with worse CPUs to hop on the 3000 train simply because having the latest PC parts( especially GPUs) is the nerd version of having the newest car.

get the 3070!
