Is the RTX 3080 too much for POE?
I have a 1070Ti today and will upgrade to the nVidia 3080 card.
Now my only question is what CPU to get so I am waiting to see the Rysen 3 lunch in oktober. |

" That is pointless since the servers only tick every 0.033 seconds (30.3x per second). Anything above that is excessive and offers no benefit to PoE. It will for any game on a better server. |

" I am not sure what you try to say - that 30fps is ok or what you wanted to tell us here? |

" He's saying that the servers are often the bottleneck when it comes to PoE's performance, and not you GPU. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Buy a small motorcycle xD
You have to remember to chase and catch your dreams, because if you don't, your imagination will live in empty spaces, and that's nowhere land.

" LOL!! I wouldn't mind that, but I'm more preoccupied by my framerate in POE. :) | |
" I’m saying if your screen refreshes 180 times a second, then it refreshes the exact same image 6 times before the servers calculate a new image. 30 fps and 180 fps provide the exact same experience on the PoE servers (technically 30.3 fps). Most games have a server tick rate (the game’s fps) of 64-128 times per second. The devs built the servers from scratch when creating PoE rather than spending money they didn’t have getting a professionally designed one. I’m no engineer and haven’t the faintest clue what the intricacies are, only that budget was the reason for their initial server choice and they cannot simply replace the server because it would involve recreating the game in some fashion. Personally I think half the reason they are pushing templates in the new design modules is so they can provide new servers in patch 5.0 (PoE 3). But again, I haven’t a clue what is what when it comes to design, lol. |

You should buy RTX3080.
VR POE might just be around the corner. Anyway I'm buying AMD BIKE. |
