Is the RTX 3080 too much for POE?
A 3080 is complete overkill only for PoE. A 2080 is sufficient for far more than 144 fps at 1440p. I have a 2080S with a 10600K and 200-420 fps in PoE. At 1440p. Because of my 144Hz monitor I limit this to 140 fps.
The server FPS only says how often new data comes to the client. No more! PoE performs much better at 120 FPS than at 60, and at 200 fps it runs even smoother than at 120 fps. " lol This is nonsense! The eye sees no fps at all, and has no fps at all. The eye works interrupt based. The reaction time is so low that it is comparable to the time between two frames at 500 fps. But it just doesn't work that way... Last edited by DonDildo#6137 on Sep 11, 2020, 2:42:51 PM

if I had enough money to buy a RTX 3080 I would definately spend it [Removed by Support]. It never dissapoints me.
But PoE performance... My end, it justifies my means, All I ever do is delay, My every attempt to evade, The end of the road And my end.... Last edited by Natasha#0000 on Sep 11, 2020, 5:04:55 PM

im sure there'll be ways to notice hiccups even on a 12 cores super cpu paired with a 3090.
you see these streamers with 10k pcs still have frame drops occasionally ;) anyways i know my i5/970 are due for an upgrade. i think ill go for it before the year ends. this game is literally unplayable for me on current system - only wow runs smooth nowadays. " It's more the case GGG does not put a hard limit on how many mobs you can spawn on a single map or how much attack/cast speed you can have. even an optimized game will suffer when you spawn 100 mobs in a single screen. IGN: Arlianth

Other way around. PoE is too much for the RTX 3080 Founders, on minimum settings, using DirectX 11. It's much worse with Vulkan, even with the proper Vulkan drivers installed.
You will get <40 FPS @ Actual content (<1fps @ T19 100% juiced Delirium maps) Apparently I missed a period. Oh well. Last edited by bvanharjr#5617 on Sep 12, 2020, 1:53:39 AM

I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

3080?? Why not a 3090? It is just money, and we only live one time in this world. So eat less, drink less, smoke less and go insane on pc hardware 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

" " " Not Entirely correct. The eye doesn't have a refresh rate or frames, those are concepts (well, specifications) for analogue monitors hooked up to digital display units/digital sources. The eye, or really the retina, filters the ambient (available) light using phosphorus-based charging, when the electrical impulse of light hits these phosphorous bulbs in the eye, it sets off a signal, received by the optic nerve and xmit to the Visual Cortex. These receptors or firing mechanisms occur, if our study of the eye is correct, right around 2,000,000,000 times a second. That's a bit more than 24fps. The brain has a self-reflection cycle of about 30 hz- it checks the info it has available to it 30x a second. Frame differences can be observed to a few hundred FPS. " Thats how I live lol. Sometimes I recommend it and other times its the worst. Atleast I got a job in these uncertain times. |

" makes sense too bad everything related to hardware eventually becomes obsolete in the long run. worst times to go all in on hardware where people lost jobs left and right.. a fair suggestion for people with stable jobs though. as for the thread..it's very unpredictable how the spaghetti code works and everything related to it if you think you need a top GPU for 1 game perhaps you're doing it wrong or you might have a bit too much money to waste in anyway it's not my choice.. things are tough and sometimes it's not only "live today". "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. |
