Is the RTX 3080 too much for POE?

2700x while not shabby a Ryzen 3600 beats it.
calculations the way the game does it push cpu a lot.
so yea a overkill and the 3070 is the better option.

I do not think anything is ever too much for POE.

i am 46 and a student. late education ;) but i will buy the 3090 and i will buy the hardware i need to utilise max gfx on the 3090. been saving up for a long time and my 6200 usd on my new pc account will be used this year ( nov )

after that, i will not have any money to upgrade the next 5 years lul

Well, I made my decision: saw a couple of benchmarks coming out today, its a no brainer the 3080 is 2 to 3 times faster (in fps) than a 1080 in 1440p! I'll be buying one (well, trying to anyway).

In my experience, the bottleneck is ggg servers. Since patch 3.11.2 performance has been totally garbage. Screen crawls to a halt when initiating deli fog and zoom zooming, which never happened in the entire 3.10 league for me. What an absolute disaster ggg.

Tbh nothing is too much for Path of Exile :')

Going for 4k max graphics at 160Hz could be best experience, but such setup would be insane expensive because monitors are very expensive in itself. And using some TN panel monitor is a waste of money.

That leaves IPS or some other high grade monitors that need to be 4k too. Probably too early for such setups?

That is a 240Hz what a beast!!!

I got tiny 24" qdot samsung and its amazing too! Its more reflecting than TN panel but colors are 5 times better.
