" You talk about tick rate, these are completely different things in perception. If you want maximum performance, wait for the ryzen 5900x & 6900XT, additionally get AMD Smart Memory Access. ✨ Beta tester Path of Nerf 👀 Last edited by spokipo#1869 on Nov 15, 2020, 3:27:48 PM

eventually to play this game you will need a super mega computer otherwise you might not get that full "4k" experience imrite?
and they still havent really fix delirium fog despite the fact that the fog is using "high tech" from poe 4.0 (aka poe 2) "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. |

It's all about the resolution.
On a 1080p 60 hrz monitor, Poe runs smooth for me with a nivida 1060. If you got a 4k 144 hrz monitor, ya, you might need a nivdia 3080. Last edited by Odif#4251 on Nov 15, 2020, 8:51:13 PM

3080 is lame.
Just get the 3090 like everyone else. |

There is no such thing as "too much" when throwing gpu power towards a game. Just kidding, if you can actually find and afford one go for it. Don't forget to upgrade your cpu though. Path of Exile loves burning through your cpu power. I did 1440p120hz with an Ryzen 5 3600 and a overclocked gtx 1660ti just fine (most of the time, that is) and am now on 2160p120hz with an Ryzen 5 5600x and a rtx 3070.
Got the 3070 before the 5600x and while the experience was smooth as fuck on my 3600, I noticed significant improvements on near max juiced maps with the 5600x. 10/10 would recommend. |

Thank you @0Crimnor I've been looking for feedback on the ryzen 5600x because most of the time I'm CPU gated, and nobody really use POE as a benchmark/test it, especially on juiced maps.
If anyone else running a ryzen 5600 could share or point me to other reviews regarding POE I'd be grateful. Last edited by SharntGroMuzo#3875 on Nov 16, 2020, 8:49:18 AM

I use a 3080, at 1440p but PoE is not all I play. Not sure what your question is. If PoE is ALL you play then ya, it's complete and total overkill. A couple of tiers down would still do 100+fps. I can't imagine spending that kind of money just for PoE.
" the 5600x is about 20% faster than say a 3600x, which I have. The fucked up performance and wierd lag sometimes in this game is not hardware, it's the sloppy coding and server/client communication. I was getting 100+fps in Beachhead map boss "room" with me and a buddy, him a aura stacker spamming Spark and me a Carrion Golem Necro. I mean...5600x will be great, I have one on preorder, but PoE doesn't need it. " dude....lol. Please don't perpetuate misinfo. Last edited by DamageIncorporated#7815 on Nov 16, 2020, 4:30:38 PM
