Allowing people to scam on the biggest ARPG in the world with no punishment is appalling.

ya and the trades you miss out on if you're doing things which you can't leave, like lab or whatever. many times people don't farm things like uber lab because it makes them miss out on trades. so screw that.

being in the middle of a delve run too means you can't even stop to reply to say just a minute, stuff like that

The funny thing is protecting the scammers on the forums. And they often ban people who complain.

While I agree there is no real scamming (you have to cursor over the item and hit accept).

To those who feel scammed, consider GGG would have to evaluate the INTENT of the trade in every case. They would have to scan postings, messages, review if you haggled, if you both understood what you were agreeing to, make a judgement call in every case.

Or, they can say, if you hover your mouse over the item, and hit accept, you are agreeing to it.

I hate scammers but its untenable from GGGs point of view to fix this.

There is no verify system for services. I don't think some of you read OP correctly. He and 5 others paid 2ex to run two Chayula pure breaches and dude walked off with their exalts and no breach runs. This scam is very hard to prevent since it relies on trust. Only way to prevent it is do all content yourself (recommended):)
Who pays 2 exalts in advance, to an unknown player, for a service that can be split in 6? How about pay after each run? Worst case scenario, the host has some loss on first run, then can use the friends list / ignore list categorize customers.

Clearly you don’t participate in such rota. Most hosts and other players generally don’t want to deal with such hassle so if you insist on it, you’re probably not getting yourself into any rota. While true that people who put themselves in such position is implicitly accepting the risk, it still sucks that such scams cannot be effectively policed and certainly marred the reputation of the game.

There is punishment though it take more than one substantiated report.

It is also appalling to expect GGG support...all 20 of them, to handle thousands or reports and dish out punishment for them on top of the thousands of other support requests, especialy when 99% of "scams" are just idiots that don't use trade window as intended, don't check what they are buying and just hit OK

It definitely is my fault, I just assumed like everyone other game in the world in 2020 that scamming is not something that is promoted or allowed by a gaming company. If that is the case then I will definitely never spend another penny on this game.

Scamming is never promoted by gaming companies but if there is a way for people to scam they will scam, just like if they can bot they will bot and if they can make money with RMT they will RMT.

It's not GGG's responsibility to baby-sit naive players, lmao.

I've bought a lot of big d**k items this league and encountered only one scammer when buying Cospris - I cancelled the trade, left the party and that was it. Use your eyes, for the love of god, it isn't that hard.

This isn't a trade in a trade window buddy, of course anyone can catch that and I have multiple times this league. This is paying for a service.. apples and oranges. The fact that you can't even leave a negative review on a SCAMMER is INSANE! If you can't see that idk then there's nothing to say, lol.

Paying to level up is risky. YOU took that risk. YOU lost. Live and learn. Buy the stones and host your own if you don't want to get scammed. Pure Breachstones are the biggest scam in this game.

You have created a fantastic game, the game that all ARPGs aspire to compete with, but you still allow people to scam in your game left and right with no punishment.

I've spent hundreds of dollars if not $1,000+ since the games inception so that fatties like [Removed by Support] can scam 5 people out of 2 exalts when promising 6 Pure Chayula breaches. Don't give me some liberal politically correct bullshit about not calling people out, it is time for you take a stand against this.

So I say to you, do you want to take the blue pill or the red pill? If you take the blue pill then you want to be known as a decent game with a shit tier community all because you couldn't muster the cajones to take a stand against cheaters and scammers. If you take the red pill, you decide that you like to do the right thing, create a better community by banning players who take advantage of others like [Removed by Support], and create a better experience for all players.

I leave which pill to swallow up to you GGG.

I think if GGG really wants to get behind the "scamming is ok and not against the rules" stance they should add some information to the trading tutorial explaining to a new player the ways in which they can get scammed. They can at least give them this much courtesy.
