The arguement against auto trading is what, exactly?...
" That's hardly him saying it though, that's what the devs want. I'm sure you're aware they have full say over how you play their game. Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

" Who knows really. At this point GGG just said they did a lot of testing for trade and everything they tried all failed to do solve their core issues. And off the top of my head. I can see why a trade currency might not work, seeing the backlash from picking up nets from bestiary and quarry farming for delve. (⌐■_■)

So from what I have learned so far that some people want "instant trade where there is no need to do invite to hideout and press trade and put the agreed items to complete the trade because I have the resources thus I should have the desired item immediately right now 100% now and if something say otherwise then its the trade system that is wrong GGG is wrong everyone that against auction house is wrong and player interaction is stupid in this game because all players that do trades are bot so there is no point in player interaction just as well make auction house so I can just buy something I want immediately because I have resources" system. Is my understanding wrong ?
I mean, if its such a hassle for you to trade then might as well find the item by yourself. You want to have chrome without trading with another player ? Well, there is vendor recipe for it or you can exchange chrome with jewelers at npc. You want a certain map to complete your atlas but you don't want to trade ? Well check always Zana, or sell 3 same map to get higher tier map, or use Zana mod that cost 1c to alternate the same tier. I'm against auction house because I will lose profit in trading. I can't put price for my availability, and be forced to follow the "standard price" of an item. Some people will sell, say 2c for a map, and he might be bombarded with alot of PM and not all the buyers get invited. Thats where I make money, I put abit higher price or not selling maps with chaos and some people eventually trade with me. I never sell maps with chaos except for tier 16. I sell t1 to t14 with alterations, which surprisingly worked out pretty well. Lets say t10 cost 2c in general, and 1c equals to 5 alterations. Then I list my t10 maps for 15 alters and people eventually come to me. If there is an auction house, I won't be able to do that as I'm forced to follow the market standard in pricing. I won't be able to do like, "you want t9 maps ? I have alot of t9 maps, but you have to pay me in other form of currency / higher prices. why ? because if you pm me you get faster invite to my HO to do the trade." Well..
If i understand GGG correctly, trading is the way it is, because they want to slow down item progression. Now let's compare these two experiences with my current character, pars pro toto: A few days ago i bought my Kaom's. I whispered a guy, got invited instantly (as i had expected), traded and had my Kaom's. Did i get slowed compared to an instant asynchonous system (i really dislike the term "auctionhouse", because i'm all against auctions with a bidding system)? Well, maybe by a whopping ten seconds. Now today i decided, that the movespeed + onslaught craft prolly was the best option for my boots. Because i hadn't unveiled that often enough yet to unlock the t3 craft, i bought a couple of veiled ilvl 75+ boots, in order to unlock said craft. Those boots cost 1alc - 3c. Around 50% of the sellers were not responding (as i had expected). I spent over an hour whispering people, until i finally had unveiled enough movespeed+onslaught boots. Did i get slowed compared to an instant system? Hell, yes. So- success? But wich item is more powerful, more relevant for the endgame capabilities of my character? Kaom's Heart or 9% chance to procc onslaught on kill? This discrepancy is what i don't get. It doesn't make sense imho. No trading at all- fine, i like that. That's clear-cut and simple. No trading for "high-value" stuff - this i would also understand. But "bad trading", wich does NOT slow item progression on the high end, but instead makes low-value trades a pain... sorry, this i don't get. dedadadadedoodoodoo is all i want to say to you Last edited by tweedledee111#4983 on Jul 3, 2019, 9:55:40 AM

" I am very glad you posted this. All kinds of subtleties around trade will be thrown out of the window because some individuals can't get their items fast enough. Heart of Purity

" You need to make a distinction between items that are being indexed AND items that are actually for sale. As a player, you have to find that out yourself and the only way to find it out is to contact the player who listed the item. That doesn't automatically mean he will sell the item though. The player can dislike you. The player can be doing something else in the meanwhile (labyrinth, watching a tv series, ...). If the player is not responding at all, then probably he is being bombarded with messages because his price is really cheap (or he is trying to manipulate the market). If you go to your bakery in town, everyone is waiting elegantly in line. Now imagine a legion of PoE players camping that bakery and they all want the very same specific cake. Well that shop closes. You naturally won't get any response which would need to give the buyer (in that case you) enough common sense that the actual price of such item is much higher. So you will need to contact players who advertise their goods for much higher prices. They will give you a much better service in the end. Heart of Purity
