They're people who think maps droping too much is a bad thing.

D3 inferno was so difficult because they gated the equipment required to do it behind the next act, this lead to glass cannons being the only way to actually progress which also meant you pretty much had to be a wizard/demon hunter.

Also their itemization was horrendous, everyone needed almost exactly the same items so prices were impossibly high if you weren't using RMAH and you were effectively buying the gear off people who weren't actually good at the game, they just stacked damage stats until every encounter turned into a 1shot or get 1shot fest.

I read like i'm salty as fuck but i'm not D3 paid for all my SC2 xpacs, battle chests, overwatch and a WoW xpac lol but its balance was complete and utter garbage and nobody should seek to emulate it.

Will agree that Belial was the sort of difficulty you should have in real end-game content but you are shutting out like legitimately 99% of players with that and unlike PoE it wasn't 99% of players that didn't choose X or Y build, it was 99% of players. Can understand why a developer wouldn't choose that though.

1. One of the most rewarding part of running t16 is getting map returns. This will make it less rewarding to run.
2. There are lots of items designed for map sustain. They will lose value. Chisels, vaal fragments, sextants.
3. Delve rewards were in large part tied to city map drops. This will be less rewarding.
4. Since delve less rewarding, sulphite scarabs are way cheaper, map scarabs also way cheaper, so betreyal intervention is way less rewading.
5. Since guardian maps are cheap shaper items are overflooding and thus not worth it ti run even more so.
6. High level elder shaper bases to common and not worth it.
7. guesss what isnot affected? Mf running burrials, even more meta. Very fun and chalenging.

Honestly this is just tip of the iceberg. Everything is tied to maps in poe

1. wat? broken logic i'm always happy to grab maps i'd like to have a tab with like 20 each
2. cant sell my stuff rant (also broken logic) chisels being used a lot are constantly deflating themselves
3. cant sell my stuff rant (also broken logic) can't see correlation can't see what is the problem
4. cant sell my stuff rant (also broken logic) can't see correlation can't see what is the problem
5. cant sell my stuff rant (also broken logic) can't see correlation can't see what is the problem
6. cant sell my stuff rant (also broken logic) shaper bases not worth what, people still gonna craft/roll them
7. mkay

your whole game is about value of stuff you drop, like some kind of merchant simulator. All the conclusion of that rant is like "my currency tab would be like 5ex instead of 50 because stuff 'lost value' "

This explains such a warped vision, my wish is that GGG steers away from such playerbase (that they created) in favour of an actualy game to be played.

With people running maps at will FOR FUN (like we did in Harbinger) not for selling chisels(?) and engaging content like Delve FOR FUN not for stuff to sell.

Really, why so much obsession with value of stuff, what do you do with all the exalts earned, do we have to think there is some other interest in selling stuff in PoE for profit?

Glad to know that with the shadow of D3 gone other competing games showed up and got GGG to move on with improving the gameplay + most probably tencent and PS4 + X1 QA feedback that told them: guys this game lacks basic features
Gives streamers & friends queue priority and leaves supporters who spent hundreds $ packs in the 100k queue.

GGG: Don't you guys follow streamers?

I will repeat myself from an earlier thread today whining that maps drop too often.

Fucking good.

Let them get even cheaper.

Abyss 2.0 AND Harbinger 2.0 at the same time.

Early christmas BOIS.
Souls along a conduit of blood, from one vessel to the next.

Sure the fact that delve fixes the broken map system is less important because the system is less broken. You missed Delve's biggest draw though, which is that it was completion based progression instead of random, so you could go ahead and progress without relying on drops.

What? So relying on 8% chance to get sulphite in a map somehow not random? I am really missing your point here.

Yes it is a problem, it's a major problem that still needs a fix and still gets lots of complaints. It's why the Delve league was great and every league after it is so much worse.

This genre is made best when you can keep pushing content constantly, that's why Diablo's rift system works, it's why infinite dungeons work so great, and it's PoE's greatest weakness, there's an end and it ends really early. To shore up that weakness they made progress artificially slow and not gated by character power. Unfortunately it's really obvious that that's the case.

This brings back to, dropping tons of maps and sustaining easily feels right, because it's what every game gives you, it's not a reward it's just normal, while failing to sustain at all ever feels awful and weird, since the game actively punishes you for not doing content close to your level.

I love that maps drop easier this league. The less I have to buy from other people or feel pigeonholed into the OP build of the month to faceroll any and all mods and content the better. It means I can focus on this thing called fun where instead of worrying about currency and markets and meta builds I can experiment and set my own objectives without being gated out of content so much.

Heck maybe i'll actually get some extra maps and sell them to cut into Deathfairy's apparent giant profit margins. The game must look really different when you've had a way to fund any item you ever want rolling through T15 maps without even looking at the mods.
The more More you have, the less Less matters
Its great that maps are easier, everything is great and wonderfull and happy and sunshine and puppies and rainbows, ppl need to stop being negative about this cause it's upsetting some ppl.

Map drop rates feel right this league. In fact, because of that, I just bought a supporter pack.

No, there is no problem with getting too many of them, as they should never have been gated behind rarity. They should have been gated behind difficulty.

So much this.
Economy is important, maps should not be apart of that economy however because fun is also important. I'm not sure how that is hard to understand.

ya i agree.

GGG have taken this idea of stuff feels valuable when you can trade it way too far, and the result is that their game is kind of shit because all the fun content that is either fun to play or offers meaningful gameplay has to be ultra gated and what people are left playing is a shit game where they spend all their time curb stomping boring content they have woefully overlevelled and overgeared.

do i always hate stomping content? No, I actually like it a lot of the time. but when i want mindless content i want it to be actually mindless. If Im forced to chain t11 maps, even tho my build can 1 shot everything in a t16 map... sometimes im fine with that, or I would be if that t11 map was a strand, and I owned infinite t11 strands, I could sit there for 8 hours just chaining strand bang bang bang bang... i could get lost in that.

Its never that tho, its hey, you have 45 t11 maps, you hate every one of these layouts, which one of these maps you despise do you want to play next?..

1 minute later after 1 shotting everything in that map while half asleep: ok, now pick another map you hate...

I dunno man, the map system is a piece of shit. I just seem to spend all my time in this game playing shit content, garbage content that i completely outlevel, outgear, and im forced into shit layouts playing maps i fucking hate ALL THE THE FKING TIME. literally 95% of my poe game experience is this, its just awful, and this map system with its 'tradeable content' bullshit is at the heart of why i just fking hate playing this game tbh, Ive been back no time and Im gonna keep playing because im playing with close friends and they want me to play with them but this endgame system is just complete garbage.

I was actually having fun in this league when I sat down for an evening and just chained blood aqueduct because my friends were offline and i didnt want to finish act10 without them. I just ran down that bridge over and over and over for hours... and it was the most fun i have had all league. Its not a tradable map, so i have endless access, and that means i dont need to backtrack, i dont need to play with my mini map open always thinking about if ive skipped an area with packs, i can actually just look at the game and play it fighting the mobs in front of me... then I got to maps... ughhhhh....... as soon as I hit maps i start to hate this game until i have so many maps that i can just chain the fun ones, and then i have fun again.

gggs wisdom is that if i could chain all the fun maps id get bored, their answer is that i should be bored instantly instead and hate playing their game because its always boring as a result of tradable, gated content being the endgame.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
