@ Udja

I understand pretty well how mainstream games have become shallow. Which is why I'm here and not playing D3.

But the whole rant about "casuals taking our bread, our homes, our wives" is just ludicrous. It's the sort of dumb hateful rhetoric you often hear in politics, with the added twist of being used about the BALANCE OF A GAME. :)

And further, eventually GGG will tone down or change some parts of the game. Like upping some drops or lowering the damage of some mobs, because thy feel it's necessary. They did it back in CB.

People that cry about such things because they fear being caught up by the unwashed masses just piss me off. They don't care about the game being more complex and balanced, they just care about it being more EXCLUSIVE.

I don't give a rat's ass about how "e-tough" other players might be. Or whatever tokens of fake grandeur they've amassed. I DO care when build diversity becomes reduced by number inflation and malfunctioning mechanisms.

Probably not, but the whole rant about the "sheep-like masses" is political already. I predict a Godwin point pretty soon.
If the game had real skill rewarded, I would be all for it. But there isn't much skill to running way underleveled zones for currency and maps and holding mouse 2 to win. There's no real skill in right clicking your chaos/alt/fusing/jeweler and left clicking your item ad nauseum. And if you think these things make you "hardcore" and "skillful", then lol.

Son, let me e-ju-ma-cate you cuz you OBVIOUSLY have no clue about many things in the world. First and foremost, there is no such thing as communism. The ONLY thing that comes close are the Kibbutzes in Israel. What you "learn" as "communism" is nothing more than political rhetoric and the evil of nationalism. There were NO governments that were communist. The Ex-Soviet Union - uh no, that would be called a Totalitarian Dictatorship. But oh gee Mr. Wizard what about Franco's Spain or China? Totalitarian Dictatorships. Communism means that EVERYONE is equal and nobody is greater than another. Well, OBVIOUSLY if there are leaders running the show with an iron fist, that whole concept gets tossed out the window.

As for socialism - I love it and prefer it over the disaster of democracy any day. Not that America is REALLY a democrasy mind you; it's really an Oligarchy but that can be a discussion for another time. I grew up and lived in a socialist society for maaaaaaaaany years and it's great. Nobody goes hungry, without a home and the government makes sure you have health insurance. Yes sir, give me socialism any day over the farce of "democracy."

If you think this game requires skill then your knowledge of video games is extremely lacking.

Don't make broad generalizations lumping everyone together that has any problem with this game whatsoever. Its such an ignorant way to look at anything.

I'm hoping not. I had family in the death camps and the whole Godwin point is bad form altogether. The last person who used it, well, let's just say they don't anymore. The "sheep-like masses" that I previously commented on just proved an experiment I was running. As you can see, many people got upset and the question is why? Are you upset because of the political mechanations involved in these statements or was there something else that runs deeper??

@iamstryker:

I think getting up in the morning and taking breath requires skill ;)

Even more insults. Just great. BTW, thanks for the apparent history lesson, my astrologist predicted it will happen to me this today, I was waiting for it with great anticipation.

An experiment ? So you're trolling. Does it make you feel good ?

I reacted because I loathe that sort of stupid populist generalization and dismissal of individual identity. BTW it sounds much more fascist than socialist. But people in history have jumped from one to the other.

Second reason is that the sort of fetishist pseudo-elitism that was displayed in this thread is just as toxic as the entitlement of self-proclaimed casuals.
