The masses want it easier eternally, and do not look back, ever.
The masses will bring the game to the point where the few with leave because they cannot distinguish themselves by their skill and knowledge, and then the masses will leave because they follow and secretly wants to be like the few. Have courage GGG, we believe in the hardcore ARPG game, free loot, etc etc, a bloodthirsty enviroment where the few will have great fun, and the masses will not get their ways. We already see it happening, Some want floating damage numbers, some want no FFA loot, etc etc They are here now in the community and they will not stop asking you to make the game more mindless. I pray that you have the courage to resist and know that the game is yours to make to your vision, and that no amount of cry will make you give in. It is like children - once you start giving in they know they can have their way and will never stop. Never give in. You are reviving my hope in the ARPG genre. So instead of responding to me in the looting thread you just create a thread in another sub-section. Going to just go ahead and assume you can't answer me properly in there then.
As for this thread, while I agree that GGG should not give in to the masses and ruin their vision, they should not let their vision blind them of mechanics that could be improved upon. So.. +0.5? If that's possible. |

Well EndsofEnds, go there and read my last post. As i said im done there i have no intention on writing the same over and over, my point has been made.
I found it more important to bring to awareness that the time is right to increase resistance to cries and beggings of those who want path of casuals. If you want to talk loot go to that thread, this thread here is about awareness and the community in general, and i will not reply about loot discussions in here. Agree.
"Casuals" (i used this term loosely since I casually play) control the market when it comes to games. These people can play all kinds of games that cater to their play style. For people who enjoy a challenge this is the ONLY real game in the ARPG market. Please do not shift gears GGG. |
