GGG do not give in to the crying masses
With that being said, the game needs to get harder no easier. And the only thing needing fixed is the shitty optimization and latency issues. Which are the only thing not being worked on instead just pushing out new spell skins to lag it up even more. So go roll in your 6 party group of LA rangers and talk about how "badass" you are. As you literally smash your face into the keyboard and roll side to side managing to kill everything on the screen. Then call it "pure skill bra" Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Mar 11, 2013, 6:35:21 PM

What does the ability to toggle #'s have to do with anything?
Personally the Auction house was a great quality of life thing in d3 but was too much of a good thing what I would want to see in this game is maybe something like a mail system like the one in WoW where you can mail an item and the person that receives it can only take it if they mail back the specified currency. Currently it is pretty hard to sell something on the forums and then find a day that you both are on at especially if say the person that wants the item is in different Country. |

Absolutely agree with OP. GGG has a good thing going for it and even though I wish them huge success, I understand not all the masses will find this game amusing, pleasing, or to their liking.
GGG - stay true to the vision you guys have for this game. PS: I love the gladiator action with the lack of pants. I don't need pants to kick some serious ass - Spartacus and co didn't either. Slinkston's STANDARD Shop! http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/197511

" It represents the masses who do not think outside the box, they arrive at the game and if things are not as they are used to they proceed to create posts and whine that it should be so because of lack of freedom of thought. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

The greater the difficulty, - the greater the desire to overcome them.
When people in the crowd, they are like a big and stupid ogre. So do not listen to them @hasyou 1-80lvl solo game Witch

Well, I'm level 72 and have played solo the whole way. Started in HC and died at 58, then continued in SC. The game is tuff on you when you play solo, however, if things were much easier I probably would not play the game as long because I would reach all my goals right away and get bored. I have complained my fair share of times about map drops, etc. etc. but GGG needs to ignore me and not nerf the game :) Difficult, time consuming is good and should stay that way. As much as I hate to bring it up, This is still a beta game.
All the "Complaints" are just feedback (most of them badly worded for sure). A piece of software is meant to be polished over iterations. So unfortunately for you, the game WILL change over time. And I do hope for the better. All the HP bar and damage numbers are QoL changes. Why do people get their panties tied in a bunch over that? And don't even get me started on giving more loot options. So yes, over time, GGG will address the current issues and make changes to their game. Whether you like it or not. And if you don't, you can always look for another ARPG. Oh boy, I can really taste all da love and salty tears here on this thread :o Not sure what this term "elitist" means. I've been playing MMO's/(A)RPG's from the time when there was a little ball and 2 paddles ;)
In any event, for all of you CB peeps out there, you know very well as do I that all the nerfs that have occurred in this game were to make it more difficult, i.e., challenging, for us. All the OP gear and weps were removed from the game with the legacy purge. Ice crit witches can no longer run into groups of 20-30 mobs and freeze shatter their asses like those glory days in the beginning lol! Ahh... memories of my icy crit bitch, uh, I mean witch... Or how about that fun minion glitch that allowed ppl to use more than one and then summon according to each gem - talk about having your screen over run with minions. I have ONLY seen nerfs that create more challenge in the game as opposed to the opposite of dumbing it down. In reference to all the nerfs/changes that have occurred, do I agree with all of them - definately not but balance is necessary for the game to be successful. Chris and the rest of the GGG team need to remain on track and stay faithful to their goals as to what this game is supposed to be - a hard-core/gritty/dark ARPG and not sit and listen to krapp, who isn't really all that "hard-core" to be honest, and change the game according to what he says. So he's the first to beat D3 on HC - oh my, what a life achievement. I guess those who actually have lives and do something with them like get Nobels or Pulitzers must be losers... Priorities ppl, priorities... The Pope quit, a meteor fell on Russia, an
asteroid came close to the earth, there's snow in Arizona, star wars and star trek have the same director! Who the hell is playing jumanji? | |
" Why are you even complaining about map drops at 72? You haven't even seen the real problem. While I agree with the general idea of this thread, I think everyone who says map drops are fine either hasn't experienced the problems with it or plays 10+ hours a day. " I smell hypocrisy. Generally, I agree with the sentiment, if not the elitism, of not making the game easier. However, options for personal preference I see as a good thing. If 6 people want to play together and have an individual loot option set at party creation, I'm not sure how that affects your play if you still have an option to create a party with FFA loot. The loot system isn't a matter of difficulty. It's more a matter of not wanting to deal with the collision mechanics of 5 people trying to jack your Exalted. As to floating damage numbers, I'm not sure why anyone would be against an option to have more info on screen. It would be nice to see in real time what my 2nd form ice spear crits at, rather than having to do the calculations myself for the possible range. No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.
