FANTASTIC video
I'm with you on the desire to see PvP improved. "Players playing with players" whether competitive or cooperative is a good thing.

If balance considerations are made on behalf of PvP, they almost always benefit the the PvE aspects of the game as well.

How ?
balance tweaks so that people don't one-shot themselves in PvP have absolutely no impact on PoE's main game, if anything it's wasted time imo.

For obvious balance reason, PoE's PvP will never ever ever ever ever ever ever be 'proper', 'fair', 'balanced', however you can call it.
Poe has never been designed around PvP to begin with, the balance tweaks that allow PvP are nothing more than band-aids so that PvP can be somewhat of a thing for the very few people who like it in PoE.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

What obvious reasons? Path of Exile PVE is far from "proper, fair, or balanced."

Take a meta skill and a guide and you've got a first timer doing uber elder. Take a first timer trying to learn the game by playing it and hes gonna get cucked out before act 10. But PvP has no place, this is a PVE game, right?

This game is about putting together a build. PvP is understanding those build mechanics and applying them to what players can have/do, which can change a build drastically.

Unfortunately the updates to skill balance are impossibly far between and the tweaks to the pvp scaling formula have been inadequate, so it is, inarguably, a shit show without setting up rules within a group.

PvP would be a great end game pass time if there was half an ounce of attention to maintain its balance.
If you don't understand how the current building system isn't fit to have player fight in 1v1, I strongly suggest you check the skill tree gain, the different keystones and all the immunities that invalidate a drastic majority of the builds in PvP.

I'm sure you could list how to build around PvP and PvE for a league toon, please enlighten me.

That's just it, it's a fun challenge to acknowledge everything that will be destroyed on your pve meme in pvp and not gut your pve build to make up for it.

Dedicated builds are fine but I prefer making them do both.

I'm sure you're well up to date on all of this Fruz but its usually a few skills that remain over tuned for full patch seasons on end and a pvp scaling that leaves a bit too much damage at the moment.
