it doesnt get harder, they dont get more hp or damage, they just get more mods... which give them more ehp and damage...

Is there a source for this? I've heard a lot of people saying this, but it sounds like a random unsubstantiated opinion to me. There's no reason GGG can't both 1. Make mob stats scale off Depth instead of Monster Level as well as 2. Make area modifiers available scale off Depth

chris said the dev team dont expect anyone to be able to survive past 1500. I think you can take that as confirmation that it does in fact get harder as it goes down.



Unless of course he simply means that we wont be able to survive the sulphate farming mechanism for long enough to get there, which I doubt but I think might turn out to be true.


I got less than a week of this sulphate farming bullshit left in me, which puts us on course for another league that is dead within a fortnight.


Mapping atlas = we were told it would give us control of the maps we play to tailor our endgame to be the way we wanted it. It didnt happen, that was a lie, I either get to play a few shaped maps only or I have to play all the maps, I cant chose 50% of the maps and say I want these but not the others. Its a shit system, I hate it.

Delve = endless dungeon where we can keep going infinitely side ways and down, test out builds limits... no, youve gated it behind a stupid amount of map farming or quest zone spamming that is beyond a normal persons ability to suffer sustaining for long enough to get that far, its complete aids, you fucked the whole thing up and my countdown to just ditching the entire thing can be counted in days on 2 hands again.



This company makes content and then doesnt let the players play the content they want to play, its absurd. some scrub is gonna tell me its too rewarding, like I give a fuck about any rewards GGG are offering me, like it isnt all just peanuts and garbage to me at this point, Ive given away all my alch+ currency since day 1 of this league to ppl in my guild who care, I have everything nothing matters to me, like finding 3 chaos from a box is so overpowered... Id spam 5k chaos on an item and not give a fuck, not even really use it, and not even care. An exalt? Nothing to me, a grain of sand on a beach. I want to play the game and have fun, let me play the game and stop wasting my time.

Yeah, all of like what, 30 seconds of Delve action for each map you run, taking several minutes?

And the key part is that you have to FOCUS on this: you gotta be conscious of the swap between sulphite farming and Delving. If you map TOO long, you wind up just letting that sulphate going to waste!

This makes for a HUGE difference between Uber Lab and even Apex of Sacrifice, where you could just gradually stockpile the fragments for them without giving it much thought, and THEN whenever you decided to, you'd have enough to spend days doing those without any other interruptions.

With Delve, you have no choice; no matter HOW long you spend farming, you're gonna get what, 5, 10 minutes of Delving before you gotta go back and farm again?

I’m with Snorkle and ACGIFT on this. If they don’t seriously buff the sulphite drops or lower the delve costs the league will get pretty empty soon. No word, not even a hint that they are thinking of a change is pretty worrying though.

I love the ppl at ggg, whenever u see them interviewed theyre the nicest people, they have a good interaction with the community compared to most devs with millions of players. theyve mechanically made an amazing game, a lot of the ideas are absolute genius, even in its current state its by far the best arpg ever made.


but I just want to play the bits of the game I enjoy, its not about wanting great xp, great loot, im not motivated to want to play that content because it gives me these reward gains. I simply want to play it because I enjoy playing it, I can log on and say hey, gonna play 5 hours of poe tonight and enjoy it.

If I log on and look at my maps, see that Ive got 0 courtyards which I love, Ive got a million maps I hate that I really should run but really dont want to, I only have 3 breach stones that will last me 10 minutes and if I want to delve I need to spend 20 minutes running those maps I hate to get 5 minutes of high level delving... then Im just gonna close down the game and go play another game thats actually fun, that respects my time and is gonna let me play the actual game that is fun with my 5 hours.

I dunno what the guys at GGG fail to understand about this concept but as much as I love them and their game its getting to the point now where weve been asking for alternate endgame for so long, 5 years, it arrives, its not alternate endgame and theres no word on them even taking the idea of fixing it seriously....

Common sense improvements that need to happen asap:

1.) Base sulphite amount needs a more exponential scaling as you go higher into maps. Now its a linear +15 sulphite each tier or some silly little number like that. Red maps need to give triple of the stuff.

2.) Sulphite amount per deposit needs then to be scaled with map quantity

3.) Non-linear maps need to spawn a higher amount of sulphite deposits

Clearing a dangerous T12 for 5 minutes gives me 120 sulphite. I could have grinded like 800 in the meantime in quarry, without investment or threat to XP loss.

there you go, delve 990ish affixes:

-monsters take 37% reduces extra dmg from crits
-9% inc quant
-3% inc rarity
-6% inc mob pack size

guys are still one shotting everything except bosses (bosses take a few more seconds), practically same as mapping.

''endless difficulty'' = WRONG
''endless grind'' = true; also darkness kills down there, like mentioned before

some of the delve areas have more affixes, same as maps (can roll extra fire or whatever, nothing new here can still one shot screens away)
You know another option could have been to have Niko give you daily sulphite in the hideout, and it stays the same so you don't need to upgrade it.
Let's say it's 100 base cap no matter what char lvl or delve depth.
This stacks, so if you are offline for a month for any reason and come back you have 30x 100 sulphite waiting and can dig as deep as the others.

This way GGG can still have their stupid gated content boner erect as the eiffel tower, by having this semi-speed bump, but also allowing us to keep delving without having to farm sulphite.

Only going down costs, and has multiple routes.
Costs from 5-50 depending if you take small stops, medium ones or only a few super long hard ones. The cost is paid only after completing the encounter.

Once you run out of sulphite you can keep going sideways forever, no cost,
but also depth level stays the same. BUT, you can still find some sulphite here too occasionally, which rewards your time spent in the delve by letting you go deeper, even though your daily allowance has been used.

The competitive edge still remains;
if you don't collect azurite and ignore shadow darkness etc upgrades,
you have a harder time staying alive or completing encounters/ getting check points.
