Incursion Timer
" You do realize you're not going to be getting the entire temple in one go. There are 11 rooms, you get 11 tries to customize the temple to your liking. My best guess, without playing any of it of course, is that once ported into the temple, you take it one room at a time. |

How about this: Melee kills get a greater time bonus than Spell or Projectile kills.

Here is the funny part of this all.
When bestiary was released and people where having problems with their speed clear builds to net and stuff i suggested "how about optimizing a build for the league?" and the responses i got was "dude fuck that, speed clear meta all the way". Now we have the same people telling people that don't like this notion of a timer speed clear forcing mechanic going "bro just make a good build". The hypocrisy is real. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" Are you sure they're the same people? |

" Of some yes. Why would i type this otherwise? Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" Even back in D2 unless you were running something with a specific niche job (warcry goldfind barb, or uber keys runner) you needed to have solid waveclear for trash mobs. Timers play a psychological role, and even your own post is proof of its effect. You haven't even experienced the gameplay of the league firsthand and yet you're already fearful. But really, it makes no sense to not have a waveclear when the majority of time is spent clearing waves of trash mobs.... You don't need to have the most effective wave clear in the game to still be effective. I like to use the final boss fight in portal as a reference to timers. Assuming you're making an effort to actually complete the fight, the timer has way more time on it than the fight actually requires - but the countdown itself provides a virtual sense of urgency (at least the first few times) simply because its there. Breach is on a timer, you just don't see it. Zana has a mission that adds time by clearing, which causes one to focus on the objective or risk failing by running out of time. In fact, Zana has several time based missions... Yep, totally over league play.

" Not really. You could let the waves run past you if they were too hard, or you could tank them to death. DPS was never a thing at any Diablo game except D3. My first char at D2 was a melee amazon, took ages to take down Diablo, but I did it. Timers in games are always a poor design choice. No matter if we talk WOW, D3 or POE. Games are supposed to be fun, supposed to be relaxing, we run timers all day if we work, we don´t need that in our free time as well. |

" I know who you are referring to, that troll is nothing but a nuisance at this forum. There is always the report button, use it. :) But yes, I agree with what you say. The Elitists face issues, so the game must change in their favor. Casuals face issues and they are told to change. Hypocrisy at it´s best. |
