Incursion Timer

So it's like a breachstone, but faster because you don't need to stop and loot.
Looks pretty damn cool in my opinion.

And what kind of build would you need to play to fail at this... c'mon now.

PoE is not a game that's designed around making you feel welcome and "chill".

It is tho, only content that barely makes me not chill is killing Shaper. If it wasn't I'd already have a neckbeard and eat Cheetos all day but I still go to gym 6x per week right now.

Well, you're an experienced player and have the game down to a decent extent probably. + you probably don't play HC.

I imagine the game is much harder for those that are starting out or have not been playing for long. :)
Not a big fan of timers either. But I can live with this one. Running out of time just makes for an easier (and less rewarding) version of the "present day" temple... which you probably need because you can't run the incursions fast enough. Kind of there to moderate the game to fit your character.
depends on the timer tbh, the breachlords were all very achievable for any normal build with the exception of uul-netol if you got bonewalled and weren't running phase run/a movement skill that would let you bypass it and chayula was simply overtuned especially if you had bad luck on where the rares spawn.

It shouldn't be too hard to be similar to that again.

Uploaded an awesome Exsanguinate Freeze Explosion build on the forums - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3508506

Oh man, uul-netol was horrible. Auto-relog to my meatballs raider after trying it once with another character.

And if all the rares were packed in the end of the run you could still be screwed over heavily.

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
After reading a few of the interview posts on their sites it looks like we're pretty much going to be forced to go with one of the T1 fast clear speed meta builds if we want to get the doors unlocked to get to the Central Chamber of the temple. I'm not in the same league as the top players and streamers in speed running zone/maps in < 2 minutes but it looks like I'll be forced to learn to do so if I want anything good. And I thought GGG had made mistakes over the last couple of years by allowing PoE to get too fast and become a switch shooter instead of a role playing game (racing through a zone/map killing everything at a hyper pace is just brainless). The incursion into the temple looks to be the next "and we doubled it" on the PoE racing play style. Looks to me like GGG just caved in and went with the wishes of the speed junkies. The hyper fast paced shooter multiplayer games are raking in the money so GGG just jumped on that speed gravy train too.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

If you ever done any of those Zana timed mission, you know that you'll end up with a few minutes to spares if you kill stuff on your way to the boss/door/whatever.
Life goes by like a fart in the wind.
I think it's worth mentioning that while everyone talks about meta builds and kill speeds, one extremely key element of those builds, is movement speed (ie. shield charge). The incursions are trash mobs, in this day and age of more multipliers raining from the sky, every build kills those quickly, that's not the problem. The difference between clearing the room, getting the keys and killing the architects will more often than not be how fast you can travel through the place. 2handed builds get the shaft yet again.
I fucking hate time limits like this and I wish GGG would stop adding them for several reasons:

- Crashes/DC's
- Any kind of interruption (phone call, doorbell, etc)
- Just taking a few seconds for basic inventory management
- Faster clearspeed is already its own reward, because it gives you more loot/XP per hour

I just see no point to putting arbitrary time limits on things. Just because people like going fast doesn't mean they want to be penalized for going slow.
