Game is ruined after the returning to Lionseye Watch

Prove it.

Make your profile public so I can see your characters.

Unfortunately it's impossible for two reasons. The first is that, as a result of irritation with pokemon league, I deleted the character, so as not to increase my irritation with the attempts to return. The second one is a bit more subtle. Believe me or not, but some of my builds are "pure meta", but so non-standard, nobody plays them, at least from people who have "unhided" profiles and I can see them on PoE ninja.

And again, belive me or not, they are capable to do every game content (excluding HOGM :) ) with easy and some features, which GGG considered a "big problem" and tried to eliminate it with massive nerfs. I managed to get around these nerfs, so now I can enjoy things, which most players consider impossible. And I would like it to remain that way :)

Ok so you obviously dont want to follow any guide which is fine but how about following some simple logic here.

You lack life cause you dont spend points into it yet you complain about having no life.
Also you can mastercraft life on your gear.
Or sinds you are not ssf you can look to buy some leveling gear with life/resist.

Defeating act 5 will give you -30% all res yet you do nothing to improve that.

I am trying to use suggestions from the forums. For the build I am working on I need a three red and one green 4 linked item.

As stated above, how am I supposed to get those items when they do not drop, nor do I have enough currency to craft.

As stated in the opening post, POE "used to be" fun. Since I pay to be entertained, nor my wife or I are buying supporter packs until the game gets its fun value back.

It seems the developers have created a game that excludes casual players. My wife and I both work, we play POE in the evenings to unwind, relax and spend time with each other.

The developers have ruined POE for casual self-found players.

Haku life craft is 5 alts or 10 alts for a bit more life.
If you pick up all items and sell them to the vendor this should be no problem whatsoever to get and it will make a huge difference.

You still need to get life nodes i cannot stress this point enough.

Every time you lvl all vendor stocks will reset check them all, they will sell you your 4 linked item, 4 links is not exactly that rare and an all armor piece should roll 1 green 3 red easy enough with some chromes.

Btw 3 linked items that are 3 different colours sell for 1 chrome you can also check if vendors have these in case you dont find enough.

Learn game's mechanics, watch racers racing through acts, watch streams, look up guides. the game has actually fair balance until you defeat kitava and enter maps, then the difficulty drops to non existence
The mud flats and whatever Tukohama's zone is thereafter are actually resist checks.

I found the change was really the first real obvious resist check in progression. As soon as those scorching ray totems start blasting you (far before the fire-based Tukohama fight) if your fire resist is low you really struggle.

I like it! Forces you to learn to balance life, damage and resists earlier than before.

For instance, in this league I was at level 76 on day 3, traded only 4 times, to buy some slightly better gear, which I might skip as well and it would not change much. Then I quitted, as I just did not like whole pokemon league. But hey, I had a fully developed character with 3 ascends (excluded "uber lab"), 4200 life and DPS capable to farm yellow maps. All this in semi-SSF style. So in this particular case it is not GGG fault.

Yes, they screwed whole league, I have to give them that, but this has nothing to do with the "campaign", which apparently surpasses you.

POE was fine before the new acts were added.

What changed, difficulty wise, after the new acts were added?

Yes, GGG changed something in the formula that screwed the game up. So it is on them.

I am glad you have the time to play that many hours to get to level 76 on day three. My wife and I play for around an hour a day, maybe two or three hours on the weekend.
PoE was NOT fine before the new acts were added. It was way too easy getting through acts 1 and 2 in cruel and merciless because those acts had slow easy monsters. All they did was even it out so that each act gets harder instead of going from hard to easy to hard to easy back to hard. You can't tell me that act 1 cruel was not easier than act 4 normal, can you? Or that act 1 Merciless wasn't easier than act 4 cruel? Thousands of people level through with stuff they found. At the start of a league, nobody has currency to trade and the first people through don't have anything available to them to trade for. You're making excuses for your poor play. The formula is pretty easy. Get life and resists on gear and your tree. You don't need many points in offence leveling up. Use the tools the game gives you. Are you using decoy totem to give monsters something to hit besides your character?

Explain to me how I am supposed to have better gear, when I can not find any?

1.) Grind previous Act bosses
2.) Grind the Lab (normal Lab can already drop a lot of orbs)

Your gear is not even master-crafted. Do you even do master missions? The game is piss easy, at least until maps. Cap resist and have some life on tree & gear, that's it. You can get to maps with blue crafted weapons (rustic sash recipe) + regal slam (regals are in the Lab). eg:

lvl 53, end of Act 6. The quest line is a breeze, even in SSF.

E:
If you can't meet resistances on gear, temporarily fill them on the tree. Plan ahead. At the end of Act 5 you loose -30 res and that hurts in early Act 6 with all that fire damage.

After act 5 you are hit with the resistance penalty .
The game also introduces a bit more spike damage with the totems which are there to say hey , check your resistances going forward you will need them.

In general you can find a 4 Link item from vendors , just check every level to see if there is something decent. If you find a white , you can use an essense to guarantee a roll, or an alch to chance something interesting.
Prior to the additional act and difficulty removal, the difference between normal and cruel was not really felt as it was still a zerg fest through mobs that were not very dangerous. The early acts while having higher level creatures were still with the same early AI.
With the new acts there is no reset, the AI is just more aggressive , so you need you resistances much earlier.

You can get through most the game with a 4 link and some up to date gems .
You should have some auras going to help increase damage by act 6 or increase survivability depending on what your dps was.

Look for supports that say more damage , as they will be the best choice.

Save your two color rings and make use of the prismatic ring recipe for easy resistances.
You never need damage on a ring , you should focus on either life/es then resistances on the rings.
It is quite common to alch something useful or find a drop.

You also have the option of not playing SSF if the game is too challenging for you still.
No one forces you to trade but it is nice to have the option.
I think the problem can be summed up with "glass cannon builds are not viable in PoE". Might not have been an issue with the regular campaign pre-Oriath, but it sure was there in higher tier maps. You can view it as a flaw or a feature, whichever makes you feel better, but it's really easy to work around it once you're aware of the fact.

his build is not a 'glass cannon' - it is pure failure on each and every level

from time to time something like this happens: player, new player or inexperienced player comes and claims the game is unfair and unbalanced and whatnot citing various reasons. you check his profile, see the total abomination of a build and realize it is not the game but the player who thinks too much of himself (aka thinks he 'has it') while truth being the opposite

if after first try he cannot grasp the point (git gud) - then there is little more you can do. just move on.
oh and read on Kruger-Dunning, fascinating read
i can understand not ging for "extra" life clusters that arent on your way, that is a very easy mistake to make.
but seriously avoiding even the start lifenodes from marauder to go for 10str nodes ???
