Really nice guide, I'm happy that I found it. I have a question in regards to reave. I would like to know if I wanted to take the Slayer ascendancy instead of Gladiator, would I need to make any changes to the passive skill tree? And if so, what should I change?
Thanks in advance, and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. |

" You wouldn't really, but I strongly advise you take the version of the passive tree that takes the entire scion life cluster. Slayer and Gladiator only differ in that Gladiator takes Crimson Dance (8x bleed node) and Slayer doesn't have to. If you're a slayer you can choose to drop Crimson Dance for an extra Life or damage node elsewhere. |

Hey thanks for the guide!
I saw another Slayer Reave build posted here, but the requirements were like 10ex+ to get started. Pretty similar passives here, so I am going to just level with Frostblade + Moltenstrike, transition to your entry level Reave build and then scale from there. Very similar late game (pdps + stat stick offhand) build suggestions. You just have a ton of great information about getting there! I really appreciate the guide. I love dual wielding, and so finding a dual wield sword build is great. Just curious- what are your thoughts running Slayer vs Gladiator for Reave? I haven't picked an ascendancy yet, so I still have options. |

" So to boot, since we're talking dual-wielding, we don't have to worry about Oni-Goroshi degen. Slayer caters towards safer bossing, Gladiator caters towards faster clear in general. Bleed stacking, Bleed explosions, free Frenzy generation, etc. as a Gladiator Or strong block+spell block if you choose that ascendancy path vs Massive leech, 20% cull, and some extra damage if you've killed recently are your options here. You can't quite get the functionality of a Slayer in the form of a Unique, but you can go out of your way to stack some bleed chance on tree and use Haemophilia gloves as well as new rares that offer % of block chance applied to spells (which I'm personally not comfortable with unless we're at the point of Disfavour) and sort of get the prime Gladiator functionality. It's definitely more expensive, more out of the way, and less effective, but it's possible. If you plan on just farming maps I'd pick Gladiator. If you plan on trying to farm Lab or content of that level I'd pick Slayer. |

Thanks for the reply!
To be honest, I am still a really new player to PoE, first time playing the game past Brutus is this league. This is only my second character, the other being a raise spectre Necro. I will just follow your guide as-is using the Gladiator Reave Duel Wield template to continue to learn the game. A buddy of mine who plays gifted me a 4L Belly of the Best as a Christmas gift, so that should help (I hope!). I really appreciate you being active. I know the guide seems to be drifting towards a more Oni-Goroshi setup, but I hope I can still pop by and ask tons of questions as they come up! Thanks again! |

" Of course, that's still a part of this guide and you'll always be welcome to ask questions. |

Wow, once I hit 38 and picked up multistrike to link in my tabula rasa with Frost Blades and Moltenstrike... levelling is super fast.
Before I tackled Cruel Lab, I wanted to ask a bit about ascendancy points. I did plan on spending a little bit of Chaos to pick up your recommended starter dual wielding weapons, which includes Ahn's Might. Do you think it would be worth it to just spend more and skip them, and go straight for the Pdps sword + stack stick? I have about 150c to my name right now to spend. In addition, it looks like you have two suggested ascendancy builds. The difference being one takes Blood in the Eyes, the other takes Versatile Combatant. Is there a specific reason to take one over the other? Abyss Standard if it helps. Also- your lvl 60 duel wield passive tree has an error in the link. The [/tree] code is appended to the end. Just thought I'd let you know. Was simple enough to remove, but figured I'd mention it. :) Thanks! |

" Thank you so much for letting me know, I'll fix that in a moment! As for the choices between weapons. I would suggest that you skip Ahn's Might+Grelwood Shank if you can find a cheap 6l that fits your needs. Tabula works, as long as your res is capped. Shoot for around a 340-350 pdps sword+Death's hand and you should have a very smooth time. The difference in the two is that Versatile Combatant is more defensive as the node's only function is applying 100% of your block chance to spell block chance. I personally wouldn't run it for this build, but if you feel like you do enough damage and need more defenses, then I'd go for that. |

How far/what are people clearing with this now? Seems an interesting build I may try, just wondering?
