Not worth to pick up ANY items
It is said that 99% of unique items are trash, but in fact PoE is dominated by unique items.
In this game, there is a possibility that rare items are generated with a very higher property number. But how much is that probability? Hezmana's Bloodlust is being sold at 1alc~few chaos in poe.trade, but Rare Vaal Axe which it exceeds can not be found so easily. Some players craft many times to get rare exceeding unique, but such players are very few. In current PoE, moderate power unique items are really cheap, but in fact these uniques are not useless. Rather, it is much useful than most rare items at about the same level. Many players will buy cheap uniques at almost free, and they consume quickly game contents by a easy build that uses that. This is way that many player play PoE now. To get easily unique items becomes factor that makes player get tired of game quickly. I think that unique item dropping are too many. theoretically, unique items are lower drop rate than rare items, but really, that rate is higher compared to which "useful rare items" drop. You should not think that drop rate is a probability for finding items by individuals. It is the rate that items will be increased within the game every day, and is also the rate which goods that displays in poe.trade increases. How do you solve this problem? Make reduce the drop rate of unique items more? There is a better way than that. It is to bind unique items to player accounts. Unlike SFF, the items except uniques can trade (only some uniques will be traded as a Divination card), so the economy in the game is formed. But perfect gears can not be got easily, so the life of the game contents will be longer. Not long ago, Chris said: "Upgrading items more times (in smaller steps) is more fun than jumping right to the perfect gear." If you really think so, do not give players unique items easily. |

" you can chance skyforth as soon as the base drops. and most skyforths are chanced farming t10 (or rather t11 - shaped strands and primordial pools) is the easiest and fastest way to get to 100 (in 23 hours.. check reddit) and to generate wealth you can consider it 'meeeh' but people who actually know what they are doing consider it the best way to get rich |

" Well they had a choice: either make uniques more accessible, or make worthy rares more common. Without either you couldn't experience end game content reliably. They should have kept a proportional smaller ratio regarding increases in drop rate of uniques and worthy rares and even set better recipes/vendor rewards as needed to give intrinsic value to items. The other proposed solution to make uniques account bound leaves a lot to be improved as even with the x4 drop rate you might not get all of them, not to mention dropping them in a reliable manner. I would also prefer more scarcity, just to feel great that I dropped by my own a great item, but also to have more intrinsic value of items, because right now, they have no "weight" value wise. " Now you are mixing things up. Chaining shaped strand maps is of course the fastest way to level your toon but that has nothing to do with generating wealth. If you want to generate wealth you want to level up as fast as possible that is true but only till you are able to chain dried lake for the first 2 days of a league and then you go for uber itzaro for the next week or you sell the first lvl. 84 crafting base items. Running t10 maps on the other hand is the worst bullshit if you want to get rich. Besides that there are almost no shaped strand maps in the first few days of a league. oh please. you ofc make great money chaining strands. by selling every other map (and excess of strands) away + picking raw currency that drops.
uber lab is currently overfarmed - ive been doing it for some time and except for enchants (that are VERY hit-or-miss) and occasional map chest (early in the league) it gets saturated very quickly i did 8 runs yesterday (5 key runs) and the profit.. not worth mentioning. one well enchanted Brinerot Whalers and one pair of nicely enchanted Maligaros (for my own use). some GCPs (because even %20 quality gems sell for 2-3c) and plethora of corrupted garbage with no desirable corruptions uber lab is cool and i like running it but it dries out very quickly. after few days the only reliable income could be carries - but i do not participate in that dried lake is cool but it cannnot drop sellable maps and strands have better layout, similar mob density (can apply sextants) and boss can drop T13 maps. but the best money you can make is to exploit lazyness in people. it quickly adds up note: i know that first 1-2 days offer a jumpstart to wealth. but it isnt so that you cannot make a lot of money later. you can. and in fact it is better to wait with big ticket items a week or two. on day 2 noone will pay 10 ex for a ring. so sell it later, most 'go rich' players play builds that require zero investment (like totems, traps, srs - anything where gem levels do the job and weapon is of secondary importance) |

" Yeah, and weapon-based build should suffer without decent weapon (that has miserable drop rate due to miserable odds for high physical prefixes). Crit staff builds are only viable because Hegemony's Era exist, for example. IGN: MortalKombat

" You can kill any map boss t1-15, probably even higher, depending on your build, with shit like this: Weapons that are SSF obtainable or cost 1 chaos or less on the market. I understand there's a gap between spell levels (safe thing to get it to 20) and weapons (somewhat unpredictable in drop or "craft"), but it's not that bad. Amd Casters also have currency to spend on lvl21 gems, empowers and the like. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519 Last edited by Peterlerock#5171 on May 5, 2017, 3:09:00 PM

" You know better than me, that in current clearspeed meta simply "can kill" isnt enough, you should be able to do that quickly... And i actually meant the start of the league. At the start, it's much harder to obtain good weapons, while gem can be leveled easily with flash-farming maps. Sure, caster also scale with caster weapons, but far less than attack builds do. casters have THE BONUS of empowers, +1 chests (6 linked, going for peanuts) and lvl21 gems
weapon based skills are left with pathetic +2 to melee gems and.. well blacksmith stones. if i had to play SSF for result i would have NEVER considered weapon based character (even elemental + auras depends on that ~2aps weapon with some ele rolls. found exactly 0 this league) spells all the way. the game curently has so many +levels stuff that it is already unhealthy to compare 'gem levels' to 'weapon stats'. one is guaranteed (and you can lvl 6 at the same time for a lucky vaal) the second is VERY RNG based and craft options have a set hard-cap |
