Yes, civilians get killed in wars. It's a sad reality. You try to minimize that. You don't shy away from defending yourself because of it. Tired of Jihadis blowing themselves up on innocents.

Sorry, i disagree. We tried being nice. We pumped BILLIONS into the area over the years. Enough. MOAB time.

The speed in which you went from "You try to minimize that" to "MOAB TIME!!" must be some sort of new record, for real.

The MOAB hit bunkers built into a mountain, i'm sure there was a ton of civies in there. Queue eyeroll.

"
Officials said the target was an ISIS cave and tunnel complex and personnel in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province.
"The United States takes the fight against ISIS very seriously and in order to defeat the group we must deny them operational space, which we did," White House press secretary Sean Spicer said later Thursday. The strike "targeted a system of tunnels and cave that ISIS fighters use to move around freely."

Even the fake news says so. Cry me a fkn river. But screw the details, "Stop killing the innocents!" makes for a better bumper sticker

You didn't get the point, cheering for a huge bomb makes you look like you aren't trying to minimize anything.

And I don't know about you, but if I was a terrorist leader or something like that, and I knew that the enemy had some huge bombs in their hands, I would have a good amount of civilians on my bases as a means to not get bombed, you know, hostages. But we will never know if they had any civilians on that base, since it seems the bodies got all vaporized.

Having hostages like that is a very good way to lose local support (and even troop support). So, they generally don't. Also, it's been shown that it just doesn't work.

Sauce? And when I mean hostages I don't mean people bound in chains, if they coerce some families into living within their bases we can count that people as a hostages no?

I insist in asking that because that is the only way I can think they can avoid getting bombed to the ground. Terrorists don't have the technology to hold off a US strike right?

Just look at palestine when they would set up "bases" in local areas with civilians to try to prevent retaliatory strikes.

It didn't work when hussein was hiding under schools.

It just doesn't work.

The reason they don't get bombed to the ground is that bombs aren't super effective against deep bunkers. Also, they don't know their exact locations, so it becomes extremely expensive to bomb a place that might not even crumble.

Also, they tend to have multiple bases rather than a single one so that even if one place is destroyed, it keeps going on. They essentially make it too expensive to be wiped out.
