You know this only happens in the middle east from the most radical extremists, right? And the less the US attacks the ME, the less terrorists see a reason to retaliate. The US created terrorists, now they get what they paid for.

She's right though.
If the US stopped funding terrorist groups in the middle east so they can (try) to control them after they take power, this could come to a stop.
Unfortunately, war generate billions of dollars to the USA (and other countries too, but mostly the US) and the war industry has a very high interest in keeping wars active, so they fund both parties and in return, they keep wars going on constantly.
Just look at the absurd amount of wars that the US started since WW2. Almost all of the places the US went became an absolute shit hole after the war.
It's kind of logical that some groups got fed up of this shit happening everywhere in the middle east and are uniting to form a resistance. Now, the leaders aren't stupid, they know they can't win in a straight war so their only hope is to have commando strikes against civilians to try and make these wars stop (which, honestly, isn't working).
But really, what is their alternative? Do nothing and get run over? It's a lose-lose situation for the middle east no matter what because the US war industry wants to make money and don't care about killing off millions and dislodging tens of millions. And now that this vicious circle is in full steam, the politician class can't even refuse to act because there's actual war acts being committed on their soil...
So, everyone lose except the war industry...

You know that more than 1 billion of people in the world are muslims right? And you know that only a very small fraction of them are terrorists right? So I think the left's POV on this is quite clear, they don't want to give the terrorists means to radicalize people that are not terrorists.
Then you might say: "But lots of these people support terrorists", that happens if people keep telling you that "westerners are the evil of the world, and they are ready to kill you" since you were born. Dropping bombs on their families won't dispel the brainwashing.

Extremists misuse islam. I live among muslims in germany, and i transgender and never had any problems with them. They come to other countries because theirs are being bombed by the US and EU and are overrun by US and EU funded terrorists.
