A white socket tends to be as expensive as if it had been a blue socket instead ( from my own watching of Skin prices the last couple weeks )

A white socket means that its taking up another mod's spot...which in this case would have been another +1 to skills

While cheaper, it's also not quite what the person was wanting to change for. Which is why it would be cheaper.

I actually do some testing, I actually think about replacing this gem, I buy a body 2 red 2 blue 1 green 1 white to see.

If you going with that setup, you could also test out using a Faster Projectiles in the white slot ( Green Gem ). Mostly likely will not help boss kill speed, but should help with clear speed a lot ( in theory, and depending on how much overkill your damage was to begin with ).

The longer distance on attacks ( if it works right ) could help with some bosses though, like ones where you are kiting away from a boss, want your golems to stay a healthy distance away from things, and/or quicker targeting and engaging of targets.

Ok I test and clearly it does not change anything, however I have a worry of speed on my minions for the clear speed, they do not follow the movement and I am often obliged to recall them (convocation) is my main Worries.

I still opt for a 3 blue 1 green, and 2 blue

I also test pierce but no this is not interesting.

I finally awarded 5 summon flame vs 4 and 1 stone, because the stone dies in boss, and I have more clear speed with 5 flame, even if they lose in damage.

My final choice is really on my colors



I also switch with controled destruction and minion speed (controled on boss and minion speed on the clear)

Not quite sure what you actually tested, as I don't see how anything ( other than faster projectiles ) would affect your golem behavior, and it should be a markedly improved one.

Pierce also does nothing for fire golems because all their attacks are aoe / piercing / ground targeted anyway. This would also mean that Fork Support would do nothing for them. I have not tested Chaining, but I would assume that it offers little to no benefit, and is more likely a hindrance ( because of the steep damage reduction ) if it even worked.

That being said, I believe its been stated that you should not run full fire golem setups, since you are not benefiting from all of the harmony bonus while doing so. You should run a lightning or frost golem at the very least ( they wont die, and their buff will add even more dps on top of it ).

5 fire golems vs 3 fire golems should have little to no difference in coverage since all the golems huddle together as you move, and shotgun targets as they get in range. It would only benefit you in rare cases ( like during a breach ), where each golem was covering a single side of the screen ( which rarely happens with the AI ).

This makes it more prevalent to try and maximize combined damage of your golems, while minimizing frame drops from excessive particle effects from the golems attacks.

If your testing shows otherwise, ( and can be explained better ), then that would be interesting.
I run in t16 and I quickly see the changes ... I made my tests on the minotaur map
OK I slam a ton of currency in test, really a lot of test, I'm finally ironing necromencer (and it's much better) No worries about death on my golems they hold very well including on the guards.

Clear much faster, more dps, bred the ascendency is made for, I lose a golem is much better.

My defensive stats are just awesome, still some point and I will have to reach 1400 es / sec easily, at least 12 000 es, with 10 000 dodge, 1000 armor!

A person to test my configuration and we talked a long time in game, and he is thrilled to have a try!

It is likely a few small points from here and there, but it is 95% finished.
