There is a developer post in general forums that states there will be two new leagues in the next month that each last 4 months.
That's not a promise for cut-throat but personally I'd be surprised if it isn't... | |

I can see it already.
GGG tries to balance cut-throat with while gathering info with little leagues. People demand long time cut-throat. GGG still tries to balance it. People say GGG doesn't listen what they want (meanwhile GGG crys silently because douchbag internet people don't understand them) Finally GGG gives in and makes long time cut-throat league which is not yet properly balanced. Maybe. But if they make a long term league and anyone gives them shit about balance (other than constructive feedback) I will...cut their throat. IRL. No actually that's illegal. In game. If I can find them.
