I counter reflect on my 200k dps melee build not by building defenses, but I actually switch to 2 x white claws. (6k hp, 3 endurance, 76% fire res - i deal 100% fire dmg, no vaal pact, 2% life leech, 700hp regen per sec)
I spend 1 min killing that rare, but hey I won't skip loots. (I reroll ele reflect maps) Maybe elemental version of Immortal Call would help? So we skip one shots every once in a while and everyone would be happy? Still it would require us to invest a 2-4 link for ele immortall call, which is a good con for that kind of help. Current character (40k dps gmp tornado shot) before vaal pact had no issues, just get the proper flask to mitigate it and play smart on high DPS characters.

It's so silly hearing people complaining about reflect in the current state of the game. It's a joke compared to what it used to be. Get some real problems.

im fairly new to the game, coming close to 400 hours of play time...
but YES!!!!!! REFLECT HAS HALTED MY COMPLETE PROGRESS IN THE GAME!!!!!.. i cannot get enough xp without running into an reflect mob!! my main char wich i play the most uses ARC with a spell echo, if i zap into a mob crowd and there so happens to be a reflect offscreen and this map is like tier 8, i would die if one of my arc attacks goes back to the target atleast once, boom dead. |

I've been playing around with a high 70's Whispering Ice build, and running some un'id'd T8-10 maps I had laying around, and reflect maps are a rude surprise (but that's the risk you take).
I mean, I understand the risk and tentatively hit the first mob and closely watch my ES; but it is "hilarious" when you realize ELEMENTAL REFLECT and run away, only to have a whole raft of mobs run into the ice rain attack radius and inadvertently kill you. The leech in the build can overcome the reflect if you are careful, but again, I have stopped attacking and watched myself get slowly killed as an unplanned mob rush hits the ice rain. So I think the moral of my rambling is: don't panic! And leech! P.S. For totem builds a reflect just means you have to cast them more - annoying but do-able. |

Why is this thread still active lol. Rolled elemental reflect on a map? Reroll it or turn off auras. Rolled phys reflect on a map? Reroll it or slip in Xoph's Blood or Phys to Lightning or whichever conversion item applies towards your damage. There are literally so many solutions to reflect in this day and age.

Reflect should be removed as a map mod (people just reroll the mod anyways) and added as a curse that certain monsters and boss use. Now you can use that thing called "skill" to avoid mashing all your buttons while your OP build sits in one spot DPSing down a boss.
You could then remove those stupid ascendancy nodes that only deal with reflect, that for some reason not all Ascendancy classes have. Add new Ascendancy nodes in its replacement. People should not be rerolling maps because of one ONE mod. Last edited by Ratedetar#0768 on Feb 9, 2017, 5:18:34 PM
