kill the hp node requirement
" QFT. The game is good as it is, but could be so much better with some more tweaking (not just to the skill tree, but overall). This doesn't necessarily mean making all glass cannon builds viable or making the game overly easy, just different. I think people are scared the game will be made worse and so don't want anything to change. That's understandable, but negative. And will only lead to the stagnation and unfulfilled potential. |

" No, I died at 70 in HC due to dsync - respeced to almost full glass cannon and went from 70-78 on SC maps dieing maybe twice with about 1800 hp and semi decent resists. Its called using skills to your advantage (skele totem anyone). As I said, if you have decent skill and know what skills to use you can glass cannon this game on SC. | |
I don't see how anyone could possibly think that being able to run a full glass cannon build with no defensive nodes/skills at all should be able to run through merci solo.
If that was possibly then why bother having hp nodes or resists nodes on the passive tree? Just let everyone build pure damage and faceroll through the game having a happyfun time. And on the point of every viable build needing 50% hp nodes, that's complete BS. HC builds sure, becuase they're HC and dying is so much more of an issue. I've gotten to 70 on a few builds including a shadow which had no real defense at all until it hit level 50, I'd get 2hit by random things but I found it fun to play it anyway. |

the hp build is a mindset that just isn't right most of the time, there is a thing called effective hp and you can get it with using only gear for the most part. most hp builds rely on gear/gems for damage, and if anything the problem is how gear is set up not the tree.
and just a though, late game players will have too much damage with 300% added hp builds and need to drop some otherwise they could kill themselves to reflect. im just wondering if anyone complaining about the hp needs have tryed to get dps in tree and instead get def in there gear, you can do it and it can work, but most players prefer a tree that makes them tanky and gear that gives them damage |

Any viable builds outside of taking the Templar start area yet?

" Because you could run Hell naked in D2? Naked Übertrist? No problem. Make
Spectral Throw great again |

" Yeah that's an extreme I'm not arguing for. There seems to be only one guy asking for that in this thread, and I don't share his view. I'd be fine with needing fewer HP nodes. And the rest don't even have to be all offensive, even more defensive ones will be fine, just so long as there's less HP nodes and more other kinds. " Was it a melee shadow? I think this partly comes from the disparity in melee and ranged, so I'm okay just waiting for the new melee skills to be announced before making further judgments. |

" But you can absolutely do that, you just won't be very succesful in higher difficulties. Don't know where the problem is. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
