I'm using the Life version and it is a really nice MF build. I'll post later my stuff. At 83 the only downside is my low hp ~3000 but i still have some HP nodes to take.

I got to level 89 in ambush with only 3k life, but if I swapped from MF gear to proper gear I had like 4k, I think it helped to be in a party, but having evasion really made it easy to avoid most damage.

Just avoid soloing Megaera or any other burst spell damage bosses.

MrG, can you make a tree for scion/ranger? Thinking about trying this build, got a 6l shavs and some nice iir stuff + ripper on torment, but can't seem to do my own tree for ranger/scion =(

I have the money to back up a low life iir, but would you recommend going life based with a legacy 30% nubuck instead of wondertrap?

Okay I did a witch tree and its way better than scion/ranger, 105 points gets me all the str I need, plus vaal pact unwavering and more ES.

If you have a Witch it is much better for higher levels of ES than ranger, Scion will do well for obtaining Vaal Pact (I think).

Life based with 30% Goldwyrm is what I did in Ambush league and I loved it, all you need is evasion, aura nodes and blood magic gem, it's easier.

Although I would say both versions are just for fun, I hit 89 in ambush on the life version, I don't know if I could level the low life build further while MFing though.

Re-made the life version, giving Split Arrow a go again - mainly cause I love chain.

3.5k Life, about 17.8k DPS Split + Chain + WeD + FA + Crit Multi + Blood Magic (swap in LGoH drops to 12k DPS in reflect maps). Hardly get hit, good evasion and dodge.

Generating charges with HoI + Curse on Hit + Ass. Mark + Reduced mana. Good for packs of mobs, possibly not so good against long single boss fights, but the build has 75% base crit, goes to 95% with 4 power charges. 88%+ accuracy depending on gear.

Using Alpha's Howl because I am running Purity instead of HoT, because I hate messing around with resistances on gear. Chest armour, helm and ring has no life on it, could possibly hit 4k life.

If I could be bothered sorting out the resists I would be wearing this helm instead of Alpha's Howl:

MF: 100% IIQ / 200% IIR on single target, not really that much, but seeing uniques drop keeps it fun.

Thanks for a great guide. I'm wondering if anyone has tried a lifebased version with greeds embrace? I'm thinking Greed's Embrace + Goldwyrm are better then Wondertrap (at least for solo play). Would you change anything if you did go with Greed's?

With Greed's giving reduced movement speed I would probably run with at least two Surgeon's quicksilver flasks to help negate that, maybe even pick up some movement speed on the passive tree. Goldwyrm is so good for life based, especially if you actually use the mana regen, trying to think of a good MF character for the one month.

The only things that could be annoying with Greed's is balancing the negative resists and getting the number of green sockets needed for either TS or Ice Shot/Elemental Hit single target. Oh... you would lose a lot of evasion, making Ondar's not as effective with reflect, would have to test it against reflect though.

I'm only using GMP Tornado Shot cause I really don't need anything else to kill.

I keep IIR and IIQ and still do 11k (without charges) GMP Tornado which is more than enough to clear any map.
4k HP are quite low but this char is not meant to be hardcore. Atziri Splendour is the way to recouver life, with GMP wide area I replenish life every group of mobs.

I'd like to emprove MF but it's rather hard to find good MF gear without loosing res...

That's really good, do you self curse Assassins Mark? I find Herald of Ice + Curse on hit + Ass Mark is great for auto charge generation.

What is you IIQ / IIR with Windripper included for shocked / frozen mobs?
