Legal Vs. Ethical in HC

Unless you aren't selling or buying these exploits affect you. The amount of drops off Dom, macros in hardcore and actually hacking, drive the price of gear you sell as well as buy. This puts you in a position of playing for peanuts, which is fine for some people, but to say it doesn't affect you or the way you play (unless 100% self found) is very inaccurate.
Thumbs up for this post - wish GGG would take these posts seriously and realize there is a major problem with the cheating, even though many are unaware.
I'm sort of used to bad communities, due to years of playing LoL.

But the community of PoE is the worst community I've ever seen, when it comes to exploits, egoistic thinking and cynical behavior. The amount of cheating, scamming, "looking the other way" and blaming the victims in here is outrageous.

It will be interesting to see how the new trade system is implemented with the trade stash thing.

...if it ever will come... ^^ (I'm really not happy with this, but - waiting for month now after the last 'announcment' - I start to doubt it.

You started in one place but ended up in another, and the progress you've described (blithe apathy to despondent helplessness) is actually the reverse of what's happened to must of us.

'It doesn't affect me so I don't care' (apathy) is typically a result of 'I can't do anything about it.' (helplessness).

I really hope that is so. Usually I read that just as it says: "If it doesn't affect me, I don't give a shit." Which I think is a terrible attitude. Terribly ignorant and stupid and selfish.

If it was a single-player game it wouldn't matter, but in a competitive game those advantages are difficult to overcome.

Always makes me laugh.
I always wonder at these posts, if you are enjoying the game; why care? It seems a huge waste of time to qq over things you know will never be changed.

I watch some streamers multiclient too, and their chat is always full of whiners, thinking that its illigal, and shouting and screaming that said streamer should be banned. Honestly, performing a multibox in hardcore is extremely difficult; I can only have respect for people who manage to pull it off.

People need to use macros because the way poe is scripted necessitates them. You can honestly not play the game without an /oos macro at the least.

There is a distinction within macros though; I believe macros that move your mouse pointer are illigal (and should be) or those that trigger simultaneous events (Potion quaff + log out).

However, I enjoy the game immensely without multiboxing, or using a ton of macros, I only use /oos. If I compare my dominus loot which I get running it solo with pretty shoddy iiq/iir 80/200 or something, to that of a multi boxer, the difference in uniques isnt actually that great, sometimes I even do better than the multiboxer. They may get 100s of rares but the valuable drops are barely any more frequent for them than for anyone else, just because of the way statistics work, 400% more iir, on a actual chance of 1/1000000 is barely going to make a difference. I really think this is just symptomatic of human nature, people getting jelly baby. And they will start copying the behavior because they feel they are slacking and then they will take it one step further, and then they get banned. That is the life of an mmo player.

TL;DR You jelly baby?

I thought GS came free?
However, free or 1 million dollars, it's irrelevant. It is absolutely compatible for why it was used, because it was used as an example of a function and nothing more. The function being that one can use [insert box/tab] as a right of access medium to transfer items between accounts without them both needing to be online at the same time.
Casually casual.

One example right here.

1 - You ARE serious, and DO believe this "rant" comes from being jealous. Then you are one short sighted human being.

2 - You are NOT serious, just writing it to provoke, making everything they say about the community true.

Sad.

Anywhore, being jealous has nothing to do with it. Some people just cares about right, wrong and rules - even in video games. IMAGINE THAT!

Personally, I only play games for my own enjoyment, not to inflict my judgement on other people, or decide how they should be allowed to enjoy a game.
