Play to have fun.
People care about trade and grind (which should never be a thing where self-awareness is a warning) too much.

They all play Ambush because of increased drop rates.
I guess I missed that in the patch notes. Ambush has higher drop rates now?
Some peoples act like strongboxes = increased drop rate and thats the sole and only reason why peoples play the new league. They use that argument as a "proof" that the game needs increased drop rate to compensate for their lazyness or poor knowledge of the game.
Have you ever considered the possibility that some people simply don't want to trade? I enjoy finding my own gear and using them to get through the game. There's a certain sense of ownership that comes with playing entirely self-found. If I have to rely on trading for gear then I'd simply feel that the character I'm building isn't completely a product of my own work and I'm sure many who plays self found agrees with me. So please, stop with the obnoxious assumptions that every player who doesn't trade are lazy because that's simply not true (try playing 100% self found and you'll realize that it's not entirely that easy).
It's not as if people are demanding for every piece of their gear to be godly, 300+ dps weapons, 6-linked chests, 90+ life, tri-res yada yada yada. I'm sure most of them will be happy with 80+ life, dual-res pieces with a 5L chest but that takes a good amount of farming and if one falls on the wrong side of RNG it can take a really long while.

If they don't want to trade then they should expect to reach their ceilling as soon as cruel or merciless Dominus. POE is a multiplayer game. You're not expecting to upgrade your gear with only what you find. If you're a 2h physical marauder, don't expect the game to only drop melee physical or armor related items just to suit you. What do these guys who don't want to trade do exactly? They find a nice ES gear but let it rot on the ground just because their character is armor-based? Do they really expect to get geared that way?
And no, getting a 80+ life with dual resist piece of gear doesn't take a good amount of farming at all. It takes like 5-10 chaos, something easily attainable in 3 hours of mapping... all you have to do is vendor the trash rares that you find. But that apparently is too much to ask for the newbies out there.

I said self-found lol (if you didn't get that already, that means no farming for chaos to buy stuff). And when I find a "nice ES gear" (that is if I ever find any, highest ES chest I found had like 300) I don't leave it lol, I keep it in case I ever decide to make a CI (or rather, with the quality of ES gear I find, more likely an EB) character. You can't honestly be so obnoxious as to assume that people who find good gear are stupid enough to just leave it do you?

Self found will always be a pain in the ass until theres a dedicated league with increased drop rate just for them. This thread is NOT about self-found. If you want to put yourself at an handicap by only using what you actually find, then good for you. But don't cry all over the forums because you struggle to get geared for christ sake.

Not bothering to quote cause it's getting long. I'm not crying about anything and I'm not struggling to get geared lol. Fortunately I've fallen on the good side of RNG (although I could easily have fallen on the other side) and I have decent gear to progress. All I'm doing is raising a counterpoint to the sweeping generalization made that all who don't trade are lazy, because that's simply not true.

I think he's more talking about ppl who don't trade yet crying about drop rates, which is obviously not your case.

I don't trade.
It means this isn't the game for you.
It's for 12-16 hour a day no lifers. Hours spent has no relation to difficulty.

leave? hah, not a chance. I'd finally be able to craft my gear. The game now with its shit top tier orb droprates is killing it for me. If I could craft all my gear I'd never quit :P. tooooooooo many builds to be done.
