See, I have farmed the shit out of this game, and can say with 100% certainty, that good stuff DOES drop. Orbs drop. The problem is not the rate of drops, but the likelihood that it is usable by that person.

I.e.

I play summoner.

In all my time farming, I've had about 3-4 truly summoner specific unique items drop, 1 Ullr and the rest Queen's Decrees/sidhebreath's (surprise, surprise, no high-end ones, midnight, mortis, skullhead, etc).

That is fucking ridiculous with a capital 'this blows donkey sack'.

However, I've had about 50+ stash tabs full of kit for other players and builds drop. Good items, not shit, items worth several exalts, plenty of them. TONNES OF THEM! But fucking nothing ever drops FOR ME.

This is the problem. If drops had that modern drop logic that looks at what a player is trying to build, and had say, a 50% chance to be useful to what the player is trying to do, while the other 50% could be random loot for trading or whatever, I'm sure people would have a much more positive experience.

The Sacred series was absolutely wonderful for this.
It really sucks the wind out of the sails. I don't care how many good items I get, how many billions of exalted the are worth, etc. I want to find shit for me. Find shit, for me.

I agree. I don't want to turn this into a thread about overhauling the loot system, but what you described is exactly what Blizzard did for Reaper of Souls. They tailored item drops for your particular character, so that you can find more relevant gear on your own.

So there's 2 ways GGG can solve their horrid itemization issues: (1) Either implement an indexed marketplace where people can trade for what they need easily, or (2) increase drop rates of items that better suit the character that it drops for (so that people won't have to resort to trading). Or they could do a bit of both.

Biggst broblem with tradig for me is when i actualy find item and i want to buy it and sellier is not online.....ok lets pm him,go find another item,oh there it is,whisp player, character is not online and so on and so on

Ok,i pm'd last day 3-4 ppl for items,i come today, one of them response 6 hrs ago but he is in difrent tiime zone, other response 2 hrs ago,i pm him in game he said he sold it....third didnt even response

So now i lost 2 days trying to find one fricking item,i go on poe.xyz again try to find item and same scenario repeats all time

U can make whatever u want, call it Ah or PoE marketplace or Mr Dildo's Store or whatever,if i must w8 seller to come online to trade then its all same as now,u didnt improve anything...same crap if i go on that AH and want to buy something and seller is not online or if i go on existing poe.xyz

IGN: Puskurcina
um im pretty sure Poe XYZ is just a list of items with a search button

sence when can we put bids in on poe xyz and have it show up in my stash if i win it?
I have zero problem getting an item i want within minutes with the current trade sytem.

If there's ONE guy offline on the ENTIRE server with a price that u want to pay, guess what, yer gonna have to wait. If you don't want to wait, pay more. That simple.

This whole ah thing is just a generic whine about item scarcity. Which will always exist, no matter how ridiculously low prices get.

This game has already been dumbed down so ridiculously it just proves that people whine no matter what. I remember paying 13 exalts for a POS rare 5 link, and exalts were about 10x as valuable/hard to get then as they are now.

Just learn how trade. thousands of trades go on every day without a single whine.

They really need to make a candy league where u can just go and instantly win and get anything u want while having video game messages constantly stroking your ego.. call it i dunno, D3?

Will never happen. GGG prioritizes the economy over any players's satisfaction.

Drop rates are pretty shitty as is right now. If it weren't, I wouldn't have had to go to xyz to replace my Mightflay after 22 levels of using it. 3 months of playing and I've only seen an exalt once, and 5L four times 2 crappy base armors and 2 crappy base 2h swords). And eith the existence of Poexchange, your precious ARPG is now essentially an economy sim with a side of mobslaying.

This guy gets it, and unfortunately "drop significance" also applies to currency which you're better off hoarding to buy what you're looking for than by using it to actually craft gear.
The whole fucking loot/crafting system needs an overhaul imo. But I'm guessing that won't happen, ever.

Go to poe search.. find item u want, find a few sellers, message them in game, pay the one who responds with the lowest price. Meet a1n normal. Put orbs in window, wait for him to put item in window, click accept.

The end. It's not hard. Really. Done it 100+ times and never felt the need to whine about it on the forums. So have countless others.

The game has no way of knowing what drops will be "significant" for your character.

Just saying, that idea is flawed from the basis upwards.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

It's extremely easy for the game to take into account your class, your current gear and give you something that could be remotely useful.
