A buddy in the beta took a pic of the number of people on, primetime saturday. It was 110.

I kinda went on a rant about this yesterday suggesting another veteran timer or something similar with a code built in that weeded out non-active users. The more I think about it though the more I'm beginning to think GGG is quite content with the way things are. I mean let's be honest, most posts in this forum are in reference to the beta timer and getting their pants pulled down with the random invites.

I have heard about similar numbers in the beta currently and with the number of invites that have gone out I am really surprised their is that low of a player base. I wish we could get some clarification on this though. I would love to see what percentage of beta keys have actually been used.

At the end of the day though GGG doesn't owe anyone squat. Yes we are dying to test the game out, but really if they are content to leave things the way they are then so be it.

But GGG shouldn't be sitting back and let the anger unfold in the forums. At least like do something man unless I think he's an ***hole.....um....or not....lol pardon me....

Giving out betakeys to those who are more active on the forums is a kinda bad idea imo. If we use me as an example, I have barely posted at all (first post) because I don't see the point of it.

I'm not very interested to be part of the community, I just want a great game to play. So I signed up for the beta to contribute to balancing and bug/glitchspotting to help make this game a great one when it's released. But because I have not gotten into the beta I see no point in posting.

I agree, need 1 minute timer!

What if they would change the algorithm to somewhat like this:


Chance = x / y


where x = root of postcount + 1
and y = total amount of players

This would benefit us active users, but wouldn't forget lurkers either.

It should reward people with At-least 1 post. People with none should get no chance at all. And they can send an mail when they change that feature and people whom cares will come back and do one.
