Why do some players lose their passion for PoE ?

And most frustrating thing:
The devs don't give a fuck about players right now.
No one answered here and Chris is hiding on reddit, rather to answer questions on his own site.

They're hoping the shitstorm will pass and just dive into work. Which is about as useful to defuse a situation as throwing fire at a bigger fire.
Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right.
Desync isn't as bad as haters say.
I play cyclone in maps and although I have "some" issues with desync, it isn't game breaking.

The dev's definitely do give a shit about what players think, and if you ever bothered to communicate with them via email, you would know that.

The forums are for players to communicate with each other. If you want to direct your comments to staff, and get a reply, then email support@grindinggear.

I'm no fanboy, GGG will attest to that I'm sure, but I am a realist.
Many lewt.
Much desync.
Such rewarding.
Wow.
According to forum mods "sandwich" is considered an offensive word. Who knew?

Of course is the forum for players...Why is Chris on reddit and not here?

And wouldn't it be easier just to write in this (or iny 10+ other similar threads) a short message rather to ask player mail individually?

When you get over 9000 threads on the same topic, and GGG staff already replied on the first one...

NO, THEY SHOULDN'T FUCKING REPLY TO EVERY FUCKING NEW THREAD ABOUT DESYNC, ETC!!!

If you have legit concerns, and send them via email, you will get a reply.

Staff don't like repeating themselves a bazillion times, and I appreciate that.

I've personally had Chris himself reply to my emails to GGG, and you can't ask for more than that.

When 99% of forum posts are trash (my own included), why should GGG spend valuable time trawling through them?
Not that I think they should post more on reddit than their own forums, but "general discussion" is not a place to say "hey Chris, Y U no fix desync yet?".

From communicating via email with GGG, I achieved far more than posting on these forums, hell they even made an entire patch just for me in OB.

I was getting a bit burnt out with PoE recently, grinding 50 maps for a single level with no substantial loot reward, etc.
But I rolled a new character and am having fun again.
This isn't an MMORPG, this is a hack'n'slash (I dislike the aRPG tag).
I've always found PoE more enjoyable when you explore many different build options, rather than try and get to level 100 on a single skill based character.

Just my view/opinion, nothing more.
Not right or wrong, just how I view the game.

Provide the link. Simple as that.

Yes I've listend to the interview from this beggar Athene with Chris. It was insulting.

Chris made many 'wall of text' type posts adressing various issues back in OB.
I don't know where they all are now, the forums had a different structure then.

TBH, I don't care about you. If you want to rage and quit, do it.

I used to mail support like twice a week+ back in beta, constantly giving feedback, because I wanted to be a beta tester, not just a player.

If you have issues with fundamental design concepts, you need to deal with them or just quit.
If you have something constructive to say to GGG, mail them and say it.

I don't work for you. I don't work for GGG.
I am merely a person that enjoys PoE as a recreational activity.
I'm a casual I guess. I'm no hardcore player.
Despite the flaws with PoE, I still can't find a game I enjoy more.

You have stated that the Devs answered all the issues that where brought up in this thread and you don't have provided any evidence thats all.

I am playing this game almost an year long. In the open beta everything was ok, beacuse it was fuckin' beta. Now it is a ready product. And I assume GGG wants to make money. You don't make money if you force (your already small base of players) your players to quit, because they are casual players with little time to invest.

This is simple. More players=more fun=more money for the company=more nice things for players.

Right now we have: few "elite" rmtlers + unlogical gameplay decisions (rain, yeah...) + shitty crafting and loot + the statement that this game should never be play to win = empty friends list.
I love making late game spell builds, but the fact that they are all shits compared to the ones using lame skills such as spectral throw and/or CoC bothers me.

And when a skill is too shitty for self-casting, using dual totem to make it work is also lame.
You won't have my gear.

I did not state what you say. I said devs don't like to answer the same question over 9000 times (I believe everyone on the internet should understand the "over 9000" reference to Vegeta).

Personally, I don't need good loot raining from the sky. What I would like is to be able to turn off rain from the sky (particle effects).

The way crafting is implemented, is for endgame gear. I'm okay with that, even though I've never been in a financial position to craft. You look for drops/trades, then when you can't find an upgrade, you craft. I've played games such as Median (a D2 mod by LazBro) where crafting was just a little "too easy", and that's what GGG are trying to avoid (from my perspective).

Look, if you don't like it, go play something else.
I still enjoy PoE.

You have said that the devs have answered the issue and you don't have the link for that answer= no evidence thats all.

I don't care why are you playing and what you want. I have asked you for one damn thing, a link to the devs answer, not more, not less. If you can't provide it, than I won't believe you. Simple.

I am not trying to bulshit GGG or to say that they are doing a bad job. In fact I think that they are doing a great job designing this game (the skill system, the gems, etc. ).

And this is the reason why I can't fuckin' understand why are they making such dumb interviews like Chris with Athene where he insults causal players. I can't understand why they don't want that more causal players like me playing their game. Why turn away people who actually think that PoE is a great game that just to need a little bit more adjusted?

Less RNG affected crafting system, or better boss drops, or easier access to lvl74 maps, one of these three things implemented and people would come back to the game, then it would be perfect.

This is just plain stupid. Sorry.
