When the devs said (and I'm paraphrasing here) that some uniques will be so rare, there might only be a few dozen per league, per season, people actually thought that they, personally, would be the ones to get them?
I found 5 uniques in the actual domination league. And every single one was crap, not even low level usable.

Also, I would like to profusely apologize for using the acronym "Multiplayer Online Battle Arena" when referring to a certain genre of games. It clearly shows my ignorance, in that acronyms are never to be used on the forums of an Action Role Playing Game. Again, my apologies.
I don't know where you've read it, but with that acronym even Battlefield 1+2+3+4 + Call of Duty is a MOBA. And that's just plain stupid.

You started that MMO-shit out of nowhere, I didn't say anything, only responded, maybe you should seek help?

Why mention that your naked hardcore character in D2 is self-found? How can you be anything BUT naked and self-found?
A belt for the pots.
And yes, my mistake. HC+naked and HC+selffound was mixed up by me.
I don't see how this is a problem. I mean, unless these people RMT'd (which I really don't care about either - but it is against the rules), it's completely fine. Some people get lucky with items and sell them for big bux (exalts in this case). Some people also like to sit in trade all day and sell items/flipp currency. Obviously they do it really well, and I see nothing wrong with it.
This is the ONLY ONE ON THE SERVER FOR SALE... After a month into a 4 month league, 1 person is selling one. That means 1 person gets to play around with that build. Most people only play the 4 month leagues (ladder)... Does this mean anyone who wants to play with that build needs to pray that he is the lucky guy to drop one next league??? At least if they dropped in a lil lower tier maps, more people would get a chance to use them since the demand wouldnt be so damn high.. How people cannot understand this is beyond me!
There isn't really anything to understand in your post. You linked a thread with an item that sold for a bunch of exalts. Some unique items are rarer than others, so they are naturally valued higher than your typical unique items. If they were as common as the others, the price wouldn't be that high. It's a simple concept to grasp. While I still feel that level of maps where these unique can drop are too high, there should be some form of rarity to certain items. If you can't get access to the higher level maps, you can still chance the base item for that particular unique. So at least there's that.

99% of items are pure crap and not even usable for yourself. Have fun getting a Bringer of the Rain or a Carcass Jack as a selffound player, they enable funny and unique builds but you can't afford them because you don't even have 1 exa if you don't spam the trade channel all day long.

I agree that they should be rare, thats what makes the game fun... The hunt for those rare uniques.. but still man, 1 on the server... cmon...
In all honesty, the thing that bugs me is not the amount of currency that this stuff goes for, but instead that there is no good way for the 80% of us to actually take part in trading. The forums, while nice to have, are filled with items no longer for sale and poe.xyz is spotty at best. There needs to be a way for players to participate in the trading market (AH, Vendor Recipes) that is easier to work with than the forums/poe.xyz.

Setting up a page in the Shop section of the League Forums really isn't that difficult. Bump it when you're online, and you only have to stop playing if someone messages you about an item.
Look, man. Video games are hard, okay?

It is a valid argument to state that because only one of a certain unique has been traded in a particular league, that is the only instance of that unique existing in the league?
Does anyone else see the faulty logic in this?
Perhaps, and I know I am going out on a limb here, but perhaps there are far more of that unique in the league, but the owners choose not to trade them, or trade them outside of the more public channels (between guildmates or friends, say).
Or, are we really just dealing with QQ over general scarcity of a highly "valuable" item?
Jealousy isn't pretty. You will never catch up to the Jones'es, much less keep up. Stop judging yourself using others as your measuring stick. Have realistic expectations, don't start builds that require specific items until you have those items, enjoy the game instead of fighting against it.
