Really?? This is a problem....

Alright, to put this in perspective - people have been grinding the required map level for a month now, and mirrors are easier to buy than one of these items. The problem is not that these items did not drop for ME, the problem is that these items do not drop for ANYONE.

These are really critiques on the ARPG genre as a whole, and not about this game in particular. Everything in these posts can be said of D2 and D3. If you don't like the way it plays, there's always a F2P MOBA, or an MMO out there for you.

There is a world of difference between D2 and PoE. I could play D2 solo for 6-8 weeks and have numerous full sets, very nice low-level uniques (some of them endgame viable), a few good high-level uniques (and with some luck even some BiS ones), lots and lots of runes (and a few high ones), useful charms, etc.

I can play PoE for 6-8 weeks and it may just happen that I end up with nothing but maybe 100 more fusings and a couple uniques which I didn't have yet.

I play since start of Open Beta, propably 500+ hours. My best items are a 5L armour chest with ~70 life and mediocre resists (bought), a 250 dps axe (bought) and a 230 dps mace (bought).
If I didn't like the game so much I'd laugh how ridiculous that is.

It's not true, dude. Self found may lead a player to 66-69.
I've had no problem with 70 maps self found, and only haven't been messing with my 71s and 72s because I've got finals coming. While I doubt I'll get into those 75+ maps, low 70s isn't a huge problem for self found.

I don't see how this is a problem. I mean, unless these people RMT'd (which I really don't care about either - but it is against the rules), it's completely fine. Some people get lucky with items and sell them for big bux (exalts in this case). Some people also like to sit in trade all day and sell items/flipp currency. Obviously they do it really well, and I see nothing wrong with it.

Exactly. If I wanted a game to throw items and gear at me for minimal effort, I'd go play Torchlight 2. But there's something so rewarding about trading three mules' worth of perfect gems for Horadric Cube crafting for an Enigma, or, in this case, creating a bunch of Chaos Orbs to give my alt that extra edge as she's leveling.

Clearly trading is the worst thing to happen to this game ever. /sarcasm

You do realize how 3-5 chaos is worlds apart from 85 exalted? I'm overjoyed if I only have to spend 3-5 chaos simply rolling the map that has the CHANCE to drop one of the items this thread is about.

Wrong.

You could beat Diablo 2 naked in Hardcore selffound, didn't have to grind because no big gear checks and the economy wasn't so fucked up, you could buy 99% of the items for PGs (at least in ladder, didn't play nonladder).

PoE IS AN MMO. Instanced but the definition still fits.
And your nuts should get cut off for using the word "MOBA" ...... how old are you, 12?

And tell me how well you can "role play" and have character progress (you know, the RPG-stuff from ARPG) in Dota 2 (don't mention LoL or HoN, they suck) - oh right, YOU CAN'T BECAUSE THERE IS NONE.

Really Kieren? So I guess the new forum rules mean you can't point out obvious hypocrisy in someone else's posts anymore?

Please don't turn this forum into a second team liquid, where people get banned for merely expressing an opinion. I didn't even insult him, I just called him a casual to point out the hypocrisy (and obvious self-reference) in his post, nothing more and nothing less.

THIS! We arent asking for the items to drop IN OUR laps... Just in other peoples so that they are more readily available.. COMPREHENSION PEOPLE, COMPREHENSION.

When the devs said (and I'm paraphrasing here) that some uniques will be so rare, there might only be a few dozen per league, per season, people actually thought that they, personally, would be the ones to get them? And everyone thought this? Yeah, that makes sense. If everyone in the game that wanted a unique had one, they wouldn't feel very unique, would they?

Also, I would like to profusely apologize for using the acronym "Multiplayer Online Battle Arena" when referring to a certain genre of games. It clearly shows my ignorance, in that acronyms are never to be used on the forums of an Action Role Playing Game. Again, my apologies.

PoE shares traits with, but is not, an MMO. If you miss MMO's so badly, TOR is F2P.

Why mention that your naked hardcore character in D2 is self-found? How can you be anything BUT naked and self-found? Do you have to trade for all that nothing you're wearing?

This is the ONLY ONE ON THE SERVER FOR SALE... After a month into a 4 month league, 1 person is selling one. That means 1 person gets to play around with that build. Most people only play the 4 month leagues (ladder)... Does this mean anyone who wants to play with that build needs to pray that he is the lucky guy to drop one next league??? At least if they dropped in a lil lower tier maps, more people would get a chance to use them since the demand wouldnt be so damn high.. How people cannot understand this is beyond me!
