and actually that's probably it... and it's really not so bad. I guess I might change my stance to indifferent about it. I doubt that I would play because I really like being able to swap gear with my friends, but I suppose it wouldn't kill me to have a SFL implemented.

Well, from your answers,it looks you personally don't have problems with it, but you are looking it more from the GGG perspective

1. Yes and no. As you said it people that dont like to trade, they actually trade very little now if at all, so i think it would not have that big impact on it.

2. Well this can be done like they are doing it now, new leagues every 6 months. It needs work, but as they are making new leagues every 5 to 6 months that should not be a problem in future.

3. Everything is waste for server if people that play it do it for free and not support the devs. Self found or not is same. If people that want self found and because of it have fun with the game, they will probably be more satisfied with supporting GGG, and if you have players that play self found and pay and support GGG, it is never a waste of servers.

I am mixed between A and B.

I have for a long time advocated in favor of SFL but more towards the idea of it being a no trading,crafting league with new recipes and orbs that would allow a player to roll specific mods on items(of course after creating these orbs via recipes at vendor). Highly doubt GGG will finally listen to SFL ideas, 2 previous threads spanning over 100+pages went unnoticed. GGG seems committed to the thought that everyone is competitive and would never think of playing a non competitive/ladder league:(

The only reason i LOVED Diablo 1, Diablo 2 + LOD and Titan Quest and played these games for years ( 8 years D2 ) is the fact that these games could be played in offline mode, singleplayer only and every good unique i found was a pleasure and gaming orgasm for me. No shared stash.

Imo they should try to do a 2 Week race or something thats self found. Some adjusted stuff here and there, and we will see what happens and if ppl like it or not.

For once I agree with Dirk. It's called "options" and it better to have them than to not have them. They could create a league for every play style under the sun, and some people would be opposed to it simply because it's not how they think you should play. Screw having fun and enjoying your time spent on the game.

1. Self found means self found. If people are interested in trading "a little" then they don't really want a SFL. Supporting the in-game economy is not the same as donating to GGG. Self found players don't support the economy now, the economy will be just fine if we go into another league.
2. That's awful sweet of you to worry about them, but globally adjusting drop rates for a single league and eliminating trading is probably the easiest league that could be implimented. We're not asking them to re-invent the wheel.
3. Why would it be a waste of server? You currently have to be connected to play the game self-found or not. Even if it were better to go offline single-player (which I would totally support) then how would it hurt to have someone "hack" the game for gear they couldn't trade anyway? If they want to hack their own client so they can get uniques for their own enjoyment, how is that detrimental to everyone else?

I have to ask this really. Who is forcing you to not play self found? What organisation is sending people to you that put a gun on your heads and will torture you/kill you if you do not trade? Is GGG sending them? Is your government sending them?

What is forcing you to think that you have to trade and just does not allow you to say "hey I will just keep playing and will find the shit that I want anyway"? Because thats self found to me

I am really interested.

Is it this bad guy that forces you or he will punish you?

Its not a troll.

I think you guys are trolling because we have already threads about it and I always read the same arguments over and over again. No one is forced to trade. You can find everything in this game so you do not have to trade. But people feel they have to for some reason that is irrational like this forum thread is showing again. But this makes no sense to me so there must be something that is real, that forces people to believe they have to trade. A real threat to their live for example.

From my point of view people think they should be able to compete with people that just spend more time or are more dedicated to it so that they are able to have more than others. But I am not supposed to compete with for example etup in wealth or in Items, not even with leveling progress. I am not putting the time in it to justify such a demand at all. Because I dont want to. Thats the point! I could sacrifice everything and go fulltime but I dont want to.

And yes I get it that a league that forbids trading has a shiny thingy going on. But for example this new 4 month leagues are a great place to play self found. Even every race is a nice place to play self found and yes the permanent leagues are also a place to play self found.

I had no Item Upgrades since lvl 63 and now with 82 I was able to upgrade my gear. I found the pieces that I needed and was able to boost my armor/hp/dps and still having capped resists. And now it comes. I am mature enough to not be frustrated because it took so long. I am happy that I have now 5k hp plus. 3k+ dps with my main aoe style and 11k+ with my single target attack. But what the most important point is. I enjoyed playing the game till this point and I am enjoying it after this point.

ps: GGG said they will give us the option to create a own league and it will come. It takes time. People in WoW waited since release for housing. And now its coming. Ofc its Blizzard and it took them 9 years. If you ask over and over for it, it will not happen sooner. And this is a multi million dollar company. And GGG has not the money and so not the resources like Blizzard. But they are fucking fast when it comes to adding new content and creating new content by balancing the game.
