As to SFL though, two things are necessary whether every sfl proponent likes it or not:
Permanent allocation loot: complicated exceptions for trading with friends and such need to be left off the table while the league is implemented. There is no reason to muck with partying if loot is permanent allocation and there are no complicated exceptions.
Drops balanced differently than normal league but at GGG's discretion: They've balanced the game fine with trading taken into account so I'm sure they can make a challenging permanent allocation system that doesn't make most people feel screwed.


This. I don't understand why people keep saying every SFL wants something different. DO these two things and SFL is under way with 99.9% agreement.

Or, GGG could just fucking fix the crafting system and make orbs do what they're supposed to do. I'd happily continue playing as self-found without a SFL if I could actually get some success when I use my orbs. I'd also happily watch the entire trade system go down in flames when 6ls are actually obtainable to be crafted.

Done? You don't need an league to do it yourself, if I want to play the game without using a weapon I don't need a weaponless league to play it. No you cannot do this. It's been proven on multiple threads that self-found is currently not possible to reach the current endgame or even progress to mapping safely, and that's in standard league. By comparison hardcore league is a lot less needed, because you can easily simulate hardcore in softcore just by deleting your characters. However for self-found to be viable especially in hardcore a lot of changes to drops or quest rewards need to happen to balance out removing economy from a league. SFL is by far the best solution for all of this.

And it has been proven by maybe people that you can bear the game in vendor/self-found gear. As well as one of the most popular guides on the forums that are for beginners are almost completely advertised as gear independent and powerful enough to do maps. Let's not generalize things to be in your favor, the only difference is that it takes more time to be self-found because you are not trading.

Also outside of maps and not knowing what bosses do, you know hardcore isn't that hard if you take your time and grind 6+ levels above the area level.

Also viability compare to what? Other people that party and trade? Because you will never be as viable as them.

Also your missing the point, SFL is so over-complicated and encompassing so many different expectations and needs for SFL person, that even if they made it. Who to say the majority of the SFL people would even be happy with what version they came up with?

Like I said when they come out with custom leagues you can pay for, be happy to request your own version of the game.

Six plus levels... that's an orb starving situation and you may as well reroll.If you can't take on merciless Vaals +3 level area recommendation with current gear self found,it ain't gonna happen by plus sixing trivial content hoping for one upgrade and you sure as hell won't have the orbs left to make an upgrade. =P

That's the situation. Indeed you can finish the game self-found, but I have yet to see anybody being able to do end-game maps with self-found gear, and I do not think that is possible in a realistic amount of time. And that's not even counting how long nemesis lasts. I have been playing PoE just like this though, and have only used trading to buy myself certain gems. Through the whole existence of nemesis, I have yet to make a character that survived to end of merciless even though I'm doing exactly that; grinding easy zones and using very cost-efficient builds, having to rely solely on the items I pick up. This has been a very limiting experience. In the other leagues I have a whole wealth of items that make the game easymode up to doing maps. 1-2 chaos, is all it costs to automatically finish normal and most of cruel. A few more for merciless, and past that its all about constantly flipping items and buying orbs to be able to do higher level maps, basically trading a fraction of real-life time for hundreds of hours actually playing the game. For me, that is not what ARPGs are about. Just because end-game maps can't be viable because of economy, doesn't mean they should because of the ease of an addition of a self-found league.
B) - Vote! ie: I am STRONGLY in favor of SFL, wouldn't mind having it put if the price /delay is reasonable; ie: Can wait for perfect content/fix any bugs/rework dev.

BUT with buffs life/es and increase drop rate: items, uniques, gems, orbs/currency, DROP RATE FOR MAPS, etc. (not slightly, but a lot); increase 6S/6l linking/socketing; increase max passive skill points (not 120, but 180-220); increase exp gain for gems; increase iir/iiq from rare/unique mobs; reduced mana reserve for all aura; slightly increased all support gems.

That's when it will make sense in the new league (Self Found League - SFL).
No trading, but inc drop for selfcraft etc.

The true is TRADING MORE EASY THEN CRAFT! Crafting even with inc drop still VERY HARD. Only some easy specific builds can do fine with random no good vendor items and still playing, NOT ALL.

So inc drop and other with buffs in NO WAY TRADING league will fine, and who dont want - J U S T ! D O N T ! P L A Y !

BTW i think drop will be inc any way, sooner or later after ros come, but ggg will inc drop, or ppl will leave. Want many players? Make its possible to play with fine items, add in game REAL craft, not as its now gamble and trash, linking must be more easy (as for this dude -> http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/570149), not as its now, 120 points? Very low, its degreas combo and variable builds. OP uniques make game easy, not skill gems/passive tree/skill. Need buff for life and es + armour/eva/max res and more.

Can you stop posting the same crap after 5 pages?
Honestly it would be a better system in general if when you used a crafting orb you are more likely to find one of the same orb, the more you use the better the odds are of finding another.

This would help people that like to craft, people that play Self Found and balance out trading a bit. It would give you more incentive to burn up currency while not guaranteeing another, the odds however would be better.

the moment SFL comes in to play I'll buy a supporter pack. As it is now I think I bought enough, as playing now is more a chore then enjoyment. I played almost 200 hours now and found three uniques (low level ones).
I have found one exalted.

I don't want to be rich but I would like to find level appropriate uniques once in a while. (and not every 65 hours!)
I would love a self found league, I am really not interested in trading at all and it has pretty much stopped me ever really having a decent go at this game.

Introduce a self found league and I pledge to buy everything that shop has to offer.
