I'd like to underline I think PoE is an absolutely brilliant game, but it's fundamentally flawed by the extreme rarity of useful loot dropping.

The whole game is balanced around trading economy.

That's why drops suck, why you dont find upgrades, why crafting is a sucky expensive currency sink and why engame is an expensive wall in the service of a pyramidical trading scheme.

It doesnt matter if the game has a slow bartering system or a fast AH trading sytem, it still would have a global economy and be balanced around it. And that's the root of the problem - trading is more important than ARPG looting. And that is precisely what Blizz is now fixing in RoS.

It seems things have come full circle.

What bugs me most is that Blizzard have already made their money off people, they will make it again and they will fuck you over in the future, again. They're just smart, they know how to capitalize and people are naive.

Personally, Blizzard could offer to fellate me for the rest of my days while giving me the greatest ARPG experience in the world and I would turn that deceptive mouth of a whore down.

Blizzard has a huge fan/customers base because they have been proposing great video games until know, if they would have had this aim from the start, they have never been successful.

Spiting on them like this is just completely unfair/wrong.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Luckily you don't get to decide what I consider fair or wrong. Blizzard has sucked shit for over a decade imo and they have absolutely no chance of redeeming themselves.

For me they have no need to redeem anything, if they deliver product I would enjoy at least for some time in some aspects. I relates to every manufacturer of goods I buy. Being emotional about vendor approach is maybe nice but irrational and in result, funny.

Anticipation slowly dissipates...

You are free to think it irrational, stupid or whatnot of course.

I find it irrational to support them considering their history, actions and intentions. They are a corporate entity and they know you're able to forget what they did, do and are capable of doing again, for some limited ARPG goodness.

Fuck me over then give me a cookie? Good joke.

I don't support them. I buying their product, when I estimate, that this is for me worth price they want to be paid at the moment. That's why I still haven't bought Heart of the Swarm, I would like to play it, but not at price they demand for a moment, I'm waiting for better proposition.

Putting aside Blizzard,

about the (paid) custom leagues, the only hope since GGG don't want to support self found officially: would they provide a flexible customization, or it's "pick 'n' mix" from the pre-existing leagues (dunno, turbo cutthroat for example)?

Before that, are such leagues actually planned or is it a feature left for a distant future?

Nobody outside of GGG knows atm, though people more likely to know have suggested these will only include modifiers that up difficulty over existing leagues (whatever this means).

I don't think that is a particularly good idea since the potential pool of players simply decreases with more restrictions.

Luckily, if you don't wanna buy any blizzard product, it won't chante anything for me and I couldn't care less.

Starcraft II was obviously a huge crash from Blizzard, and WoW has not been having any success either, and their product/support has a really mediocre quality .... or not.

They may have made poor choices about Diablo III, idk I haven't played it, and I don't give a damn. But saying that they just "fuck people" is just plain stupid.
