A self-found purist's feedback [Long]
" Its used by the top 0.01% of players to graft godly gear, mainly because to not waste an exalted you often have to combine it with something like an eternal orb, else you can get something like +10 damage return on your godly chest with 2k armor Last edited by deteego#6606 on Nov 20, 2013, 6:44:53 PM

Nothing new to discuss here.
Path of shopping hasent changed. All the instant gratification guys will stay here (want a item? no need to play - buy it - INSTANT!). And i have no more hope for it to change. D3 RoS will be the game for hardcore gamers willing to grind for gear (no instant buy here - go slay monsters). So PoE will be flooded with casuals i guess and all the credit card warriors. Sidenote: We have tens of thousands of dollars of supporter packs in that thread that all strongly support a SFL. Maybe we should just buy GGG company? or find an company that develops an PoE clone for us .... |

" Funny how quickly Kripp et al understood that killing mobs per se is waste of time and started to run straight to miniboss to get horadric caches. If objective was "kill 50 mobs" they did just it and then run straight to miniboss.
OP's feedback is pretty even-handed overall and I hope GGG puts a pair of eyes on it at some point. I disagree with the opinion of calling supporter uniques "conceited bullshit" however -- conceited bullshit uniques are among the strongest features of PoE and something GGG really got perfectly. They are only perceived as a negative because the drop rates are low.
Have you made a cool build using The Coming Calamity? Let me know!

" Funny, how most ppls understood, that killing new bosses on maps in PoE per se is too risky and considering risk to reward ratio, waste of time. Anticipation slowly dissipates...

"So the Legendary drop rates are abysmal. We get that. We've known it for some time now. So have the developers. So what do they do to counter it? Do they increase the drop rates to a sane level? Nope. Do they add in some sort of RNG protection against repeated bad luck/dry spells? Eh...no. So what was put in?
Gambling for Legendaries. Previously Kadala, the Blood Shard gambling vendor only gave out magic or rare items (usually the latter past LV 10 and the former from LV 1-9). Now she can generate Legendaries as well, though it's unclear if she can generate low level Legendaries properly. It used to be that we'd do bounties for caches to find Legendaries. Originally we found them in Rifts back in the FaF beta. Now all I hear is "just do bounties to get blood shards and gamble for legs. It's better than anything else to find them!" Indeed. Why can't I buy Kaom's Heart from a vendor WTF??? 2 months before madness begins!!!
"I concede that ATM this is the condition of RoS Beta. The difference is that Blizzard's devs listened to these feedbacks and are searching a solution for splitfarming shards and put the enfasis back to killing monster instead of gambling for legendaries, which should be just a minor source of gear. GGG, on the other hand, just tells us that we're playing the game wrong... |

I've read several D3 MVP (whatever this means, they post in green, must be important)
feedback on D3 RoS. It was the most hilarious gaming read ever. Brief summary: Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Devs even told the average legendary drop rate which blowed some casual minds with calculations re how many hours before I get full Whatever Set for my build. There will be no AH, some are truly-truly scared to play SF. And for kicks, there is a T-I-M-E-R now ensuring one won't have long unlucky streak (10 hours or something).
