i need to give the op a "this is right"

for people playing 1-2 hours a day it is really difficult if you are not lucky enough.

i start playing with 4 friends and just i am left.
they are all old d2,TQ and so on gamers and love grinding and farming BUT they didnt get over merciless ( act 3 i think )

so self found without a good potion of luck is hard.

but i was lucky and stay :)))

btw. this game is the best since d2 lod

Ya in 2-3 hrs you feel like nothing has gotten accomplished, even more so at end game (currently grinding my templar to get above 70 for maps). Unless its like the other day when I got 3 unique drops in 30 min.

It takes quite some time to get use to building characters so for people who like to play their own builds(me and other people I know) it's a problem. I had to ruin 2 chars in order to figure out the build system, with some help from Kripps tutorials on skills and their relation to map content because I didn't want my build nerfed by endgame content after finally making it there.

Overall I like the system and the rewards for more skill in game. Having said that there are too many parts of the skill tree that just suck and will nerf your build trying to implement or use. Looking at 50% of the linking areas between Dualist and Marauder. Why use half the junk in between Ranger and Shadow?

Just as a side note if desync continues after full release I'm done (same reason I don't race or hardcore). I've got a flicker + melee splash build with Resolute Technique that starts missing when I desync and regardless of whats going on on my screen compared to server that should never happen. Yes more desync complaints and I already know someone wants to complain about me complaining so just save GGG server space and keep it to yourself. Issues are issues and unless you talk about them they will NEVER get fixed; this goes for RL as well.
feel the same about the trade part.
but poe is not mmo like gw2, wow etc... what do you expect?

Its a free game from a company that have limited resources.
What should i expect?
Maybe i should just appreciate what they are trying to do and be a part of it.

He's right on the money folks. Every word. This game simply CAN'T survive long. With limited content, repetitive game play, and huge game design flaws (Gesync and Lag), it will remain very much a "niche" game.

Problem with "niche" games is "niche" players get bored, new games come out, and lost players do not get replaced. For those that enjoy the game they need to recognize this is no Diablo 2 (that day has passed). Enjoy it while you can. You'll be lucky if the game survives till 2015.

Personally I'd like the easily fixed game flaws fixed so the game could survive. Unfortunately GGG would rather have a dead game designed THEIR way than a modern flourishing game.

This is why this community is dreadful. Just because you don't like his critique about the game, you deem it as automatic trolling without offering any analysis on why he's "wrong."

This game IS at this point in time, a niche game that is being held back by a whiny community. The whining around here is on par with Diablo 3 forums. I think these people who whine about every little change done to the game severely overestimate people who are going to sit in trade chats reading drivel, spammers, scammers just to move an item or currency.

People wouldn't have a problem if the trading system was fluid and not this convoluted mess that it is. I personally have no problem with trading, bartering but the current system itself is terrble, full with idiots.

People that spam "6-link my shavs, offering 10 ex! 1000 fuses used thus far" should have their chat taken away for a year, IP logged, if they do it again, they should be banned on the spot. Too much retarded drivel, spamming and scamming in trade chat channels.

Truth = Troll....sniff
Golbezff4 is no different than roguemik... lol

In the end Reboticon, all we can do is hope that GGG eventually cracks down on these forum users and then we'll see some more positive threads.

Can't believe I'm going to say this... but here goes:

The ability to nip this shit in the ass was one of very... very few qualities that the CB moderators had. They rarely agreed with each other... which led to many posts and threads being silenced... In the end: it was worth it.
Just for statistics : finally decided to build a HC char, currently A3 cruel. Through all my journey, when I opened the social tab there were no more than 2 parties currently running (A1 ledge farm+rush service, or A2 felshrine farm+rush service, or A3 docks farm+rush).
I had to wait around 40 mins to fill the party for killing cruel Vaal (2 ppl joined).
This could mean:
- people left the game, player base is greatly reduced
- there are no new "recruits", game is played by only players that joined from beginning (the core)
- a combination of both

Whatever it is it doesn't look quite promising.

Most of what OP said was true, though perhaps could have been conveyed better. However the 20% gem craft option made me interested to play the game again. The issue though imo is that the game needs a lot more content. I think new areas and levels should come monthly or bimonthly otherwise they are just losing their player base.

In closed beta new content seemed to come bimonthly but I could be wrong in regards to that. The rest is just my opinion and carries as much weight as one person.

I'm not really surprised by the lack of respect people gave the op for putting his feed back in. I think the criticism he gave was constructive and it's this kinda response from the community that blocks bad reviews from reaching the developers.
