That's the funny thing.
The whole game it is: I go kill Monsters and get loot for it.

But at the 'end-game', a switch is suddenly flipped on in a lot of players and it becomes: I go out for Loot and have to kill monsters to get it.

More like:
in the beginning: I kill stuff and get xp and a bit of loot. Enough to upgrade my gear here and there if I'm very conservative with it.
in the middle: getting less and less xp, feels much more like a grind now. Gear upgrades are saving up currency to buy stuff. Crafting is not an option.
at the end: So yeah, killing for xp isn't an option, killing for loot is also barely an option, why am I still killing monsters when the actual grinding of the game feels sluggish?

so OP playing pokemon is an insult to pokemon?

If you are a casual player and feel like you're not getting anywhere, perhaps you set your expectations too high.

People seem to forget that there is a game before merciless. Stop fixating on where you think you should be or you'll only convince yourself that you can't have fun until you get there. You don't need 80 skill points to have fun. Let yourself enjoy the game as it comes.

Drops aren't bad, my characters have no problem. Drops not dropping shavronne every monster is "bad" by some definitions.

The default rareness of orbs and their usefulness don't make sense and force you rely on trading with no IIR/IIQ stacking. (see crafting)

Saying that you get no drops is confusing, I get drops, I sell them to vendor, get alt shards -> fusing, and if I am going self found I might go the route of getting alchs instead. I also use chaos recipe to get plenty of chaos

Love those "you've got your expectations too high". Sure, having a real end game is a "too high expectation". What is the goal so? Reroll 1 - 70 endlessly because we thought there will be an end game? Sry for my expectation to believe they had something to offer for the people putting a lot of time in the game.

It's not like the end of the a3 gonna solve the problem, i doubt there will be any area 80+ at release. So yes, we gonna wait, and wait, and wait.

No, most of us won't wait if there is still no endgame in the final release. On the other hand some ppl like games without real endgame like garbage wars 2. ;)

i need to give the op a "this is right"

for people playing 1-2 hours a day it is really difficult if you are not lucky enough.

i start playing with 4 friends and just i am left.
they are all old d2,TQ and so on gamers and love grinding and farming BUT they didnt get over merciless ( act 3 i think )

so self found without a good potion of luck is hard.

but i was lucky and stay :)))

btw. this game is the best since d2 lod
