Is begging for items against any rules?
" Probably bigger than yours; even if I have crappy items. But hey, if it makes you feel better, go ahead, I'll be busy chopping monsters into pieces over there while you gloat about your fortune. Last edited by GhostOfLiemannen#3153 on Sep 9, 2013, 7:37:31 PM

" What? That's not my point at all. If it takes you that much effort to get a single, relatively cheap item, you must be doing something wrong. I'm far from "rich", as all my "wealth" is tied up in items, because I play a different character every week or two (sometimes characters even get played for a month), and never trade away their gear. I do have enough to just go out and buy practically any item I want (do not want 50+ex items anyway, I could build 5-10 good characters for that price, I don't play just one character, MMO style). I don't gloat about wealth, I share it. Like I mentioned in a previous post in this thread, OP got one of the items he was trying to "beg" jews and fuse for, from me. For free. Because I know he is constantly as poor as you appear to be. To quote Eric Burdon... "I'm just a soul whose intentions are good, Oh lord, please don't let me be misunderstood" |

" Fair enough, here's the difference between me and dear OP there. I'm not going to beg for an item if I can go and murder monsters until they drop them; or things I can use to get them. About me being, poor, well; suit yourself, I should've probably let you know that was the very first item of many that I bought. I'm not sure if you got the point of my first post, but it was something about how people shoudn't take someone who has X or Y as "merely lucky" or that they have gotten it with little to no work put into it; you can only judge what you, as a person, can perceive, you can't judge wheter or not me with the alpha howl got it as a drop of many by using a sporker with 999999999 IIR or by farming pennies until I got it. I don't know, I probably (definitely) am terrible at conveying ideas. Hence why the OP, as he has done before, shoudn't go around presuming that when people tell him to get his own damn stuff they're merely being "cheap", to some people those few fusings might cost them a bit of work, made even worse by the way OP even feels that he deserves ownership of someone elses items. This made even worse because, again, wraeclast being a pretty virtual world where I can go stab/burn/electrocute fauna for currency (why do wolves even need a suit of armor?), I don't think the OP is in a case of desperate need where he can't even fullfil a need as basic as aquiring a handful of orbs of fusing. " It's not murder, it's self defense. Tell the judge. " Yes I can, you told me. My Alpha's, like most of my gear, dropped for me (and I don't spec for IIR/IIQ). " Much of Wraeclast looks like what I see everyday (NZ). Those beaches, those forests, etc. OP asks for stuff, others have no obligation to give him anything. His posts in global asking for handouts are no more obtrusive than "price check on <the worst rolled rare ever>" or "does faster casting increase my attack speed?". These are the trash posts that dominate global. Idiots are worse than beggars in my book. |

Actually I never said I thought it was "okay to beg". What my point was is that people shouldn't be so heartless as to attack and insult someone just because they ask for things Doing this makes you at monster at best, no doubt about it.
But I guess most people in today's world completely lack all understanding of what it means to be a good person. |

" * Double Standard Alert * You are doing something that you admit is "not ok" = begging Others are doing something that you feel is "not ok" = insulting you for begging But you want others to stop their "not okay" behaviour, while you continue with yours, even though there's a direct causal relationship between the two behaviours. haha... just keep begging, and keep expecting to be insulted. Sounds perfectly fair to me, everybody wins! Last edited by DijiGo#2281 on Sep 9, 2013, 9:53:58 PM

" While I would agree with your sentiment that people tend to overreact at the slightest chance to do so, it still does not make your constant inquiries for handouts any better. I would go as far as to say that asking to reap someone elses work when you're in a position where you are perfectly capable of doing it yourself does not make you a good person, either, especially if you're not going to return the favour. " Killed the judge too, do so routinely, she drops nice things sometimes. " You can for me, because I gave you the data needed to do so, not for everyone else. " That would depend; I have not seen many people who yell "price check this belt with +1 str" who are then told "it's vendor fodder" throw a hissy fit when they don't get their way. The second example, I've seen it done more as trolling than a legitimate question, same deal with "what kind of element is fire damage"; quite a dumb joke I would agree. About your last tidbit, I would disagree with the notion that they're that much different. Last edited by GhostOfLiemannen#3153 on Sep 9, 2013, 9:40:10 PM

I'll confirm OP as a nice guy, he has been on my friends list for a while now, and we chat most days.
Your judgment is irrelevant, if you don't know him. |
