Is begging for items against any rules?
" I have. Them: price check on <trash item>? Me: vendor Them: fuck you, it's worth at least an ex Seriously, that's how global is. |
|
" So if someone not getting his way and throwing a hissy fit is, apparently, bad in your eyes. How is OP's case any different? |
|
" You clearly didn't read the OP. I wipe my hands of you, your arguments are weak, and beneath my reply. In no way did he state his reaction in global, you are a blind fool in your assumptions. Good day sir. |
|
" As are yours, did I ever say he threw the hissy fit on global chat? no, he does so on the forums, only reason this thread reads more calmly is because he got put on probation on the last one where he was going nuts. Also way to go on tangent, it still does not answer me why he has to beg when he could go and get the items himself by smacking monsters for a couple minutes. So OP, I may be reiterative but would you mind answering : " Edited because broken quote code. Last edited by GhostOfLiemannen#3153 on Sep 9, 2013, 10:06:10 PM

Spoiler
" As per this last post, OP is clearly trolling. I feel a Little bad about the people he's taking advantage of here, but in the end we're all responsible for our own actions. /thread, I'm guessing. |

OP is not trolling, I see his requests for "free" stuff every day.
He says to me "I'll give you this bunch of junk for what I want" every other day, it's no troll. |

some of the people here repeatedly missed my point, despite it being TL;DRed to them with a tea-spoon in latest posts.
I'll try to say it differently: if someone goes on Global Chat asking for a basic skill gem, some starter gear, a few Chromatic Orbs for an urgent fix, a waypoint you have, a boss kill you can pretty much 1-shot... do you: a) give it to him. b) don't give it to him. c) flame and ridicule him for asking. d) try to "sell" it to him as a "service" for as much currency as you can get out of him. I want ALL ANSWERS to be either (a) or (b). in essence, I want a better community. so far, I've seen (c) and (d) happen very, very often. in fact, one of the reasons I go (a) most of the time, is to prevent the (d) guy from getting there first. but yes you sure can choose (b) if you want. just don't go for any of the latter 2 options. to put it bluntly: don't be a douche-bag. oh and any of the above examples are indeed BEGGING. so, is it "OK" to beg? yes it is. " " Condescending and High Minded ... and all in the one post! Nice work. =) " Unfortunately John, even the OP disagrees with you. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/518676/page/9#p4634532 p.s. don't take offence, I'm mostly just pulling your leg ;) |

" read some of the replies. personally, if someone deliberately ignores the point I'm trying to make - despite clearly reading and being smart enough to understand it - I find it more offensive than comments like "you don't know shit <ad hominem>!". it's trolling 2.0, and when I need to repeat myself again and again - I rage, so it clearly does work. if that person was sincere and said "well I didn't get it", I'll happily explain my position as many times as necessary. not so when the intention is to piss me off. better community => no insulting and no trolling of any kind. (haha in my dreams maybe. this is PoE General Discussion, b**ch!) and the OP didn't really change his mind. he succumbed to social pressure. he let people who made him feel bad for "daring" to ask for help, win. douchebags 1:0 normal people.
