I came here from World of Auctioncraft 3 as well. I still play D3 occasionally (mainly because it paid for the two keys my girl and I use, and I'm hoping to upgrade) and use it as a vehicle to raise awareness of Path of Exile.

I just became a proud supporter. I'm downloading the game and i will play, SOON!! ;)
I spent 200h+ in Diablo 3, now there is nothing to do for me, there is no endgame at all :( It isn't worth 60e. I know betas working better than the "final" version of Diablo 3. |

Still have all my D3 stuff but not going back there for a long time (or never if they cannot change certain aspects). Just upped to Bronze to support GGG and their masterpiece POE!

" Sadly, that works also. I soooooooo wanted to like D3. I literally figured it'd be my main-game for the next few years at least. In the end I lasted just seven weeks thanks to the massive WoW-contamination it suffered.* Awfully disappointing. * I enjoyed WoW a lot during my time, but an MMO and an ARPG are two entirely different beasts, and D3 seems to have the worst, rather than the best, of both worlds. |

Yup I played D3 for a while, got tired of it and waited for patch 1.0.3, that was a massive disappointment and it has become clear that the devs want to squash every last ounce of fun they can, to make the game as much of a soulless grind they can. Plus D3 itself was a downgrade in almost every way of D2. I was expecting similar systems, just upgraded. Nope, none of that in D3.
However I had heard of PoE before, just never thought to check it out. Then I came across a link and saw the passive skill tree. I must have had a massive nerdgasm because I bought beta access damn fast lol. I am loving my marauder and his elemental damage auras and his army of quite nasty zombies and skeletons. D3 has rigid and listless character customization compared to this game. I really can't see how D3 could compare to PoE without massive overhauls to almost every game system, which they surely will not do. I haven't felt this excited for a game for a long time. |
