I came here from Diablo 3!!! [Please post here if you did as well!]

seems like diablo 3 is the best thing that could happen to this game lol

I gave it a good try.. I really did. However, I felt farming gold/items to be boring and apparently they thought that was all the endgame they needed. I miss pvp, exping to 99, and remaking characters to make them more perfect than the last. The last night or two I have been checking this game out, and I am once again excited about a new game. =]

still play once a while tho.

i just hate the D3 community lol game isn't as good as i thought but the community is way way worse than the game.

D3 made me go back to D2 tho. Good ol fishymancers.

I hope they'll never fix the Raise Zombie gem bug because it's what's keeping me around.

Came here from d3 as well. Its a shame tho, d3:s combat is pretty tight and feels rewarding, too bad everything else in the game is still in alpha.

I played the PoE beta until D3 came out, D3 was fun for a week, then i realized it is nowhere near as good and addictive as D2 is, very disappointed with it, could have been sooo much more, meh

Am looking forward to when PoE goes open, but dont want to touch it before then because i want my character to be permanent!

you don't have to click it if you don't want to. it leads to the passive skill tree calculator that helps you plan your character. in beta, they already have awesome website based tools that help you play their game. D3 is still struggling to release profiles. oi.

anyway, a friend posted 'what is this?', and you know what, i thought i would share the response someone else posted for you guys, just because its cool:

a damn fine arpg. i am completely sold on it, its pretty, action packed, the skill trees are freakin epic, the skill system fresh and may i say original. the gold free economy, which runs on barter goods, is prooving to be fun and entertaining. The development staff release detailed documents about each and every change, no matter how small, weeks before the change, so people can sound out on those changes and make suggestions, and the staff has said they will continue that mentality right into release. The community isn't full of !@#$tards, and other than 'i left d3 for this game' comments posts and chat, the conversations on the forums and on the games flows really smooth. There's already detailed and super helpful systems on their websites, like this passive skill tree calculator, and character creation is TRULY 'what would you like to do' and not jay wilsons 'THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE BECAUSE I SAY ITS FUN, BEHOLD THE TERRROAR!'

look guys. blizzard is full of the derp. its not until you give them the middle finger and then give your money to someone else that they will listen. there is, and i swear to god, NO excuse, and should be no mercy with how we leave blizzard behind for what they've done to a title we cherish. and diablo isn't the only one. they're releasing fluffy fat pandas in wow as a playable class to entertain the fanboys. really? pandas? good god man, just offer to pay the players ea 10 bucks or free !!@#*#!s, you've only got one more step to fall before you're there anyways.

i'm not giving up on d3, i'll leave it installed.

but here's the truth. no matter what they change or how much, the skill system of d3 is TOO integral to the game system to change. You'll never have a complex tree, synergistic skills, character customization, or anything to make your wizard different than any other wizard (or whatever) except for the gear you wear, which only serves to feed the AH. they have the nerve to tell you what is fun or not. well i'm going to have the nerve to tell you what isn't fun.

I really don't care if you respond with WHINE WHINE WHINE, or whatever, because i'm not responsible for your happiness. you are. If you're on these forums, its probably because you're here to rage at the game, or to troll the ragers. Otherwise, the mindless monotony of d3 is entertaining you and you don't need the forums.

I don't care if you play POE or TL2, or Guildwars, or twiddly winks and uno. A game of monopoly with friends is more challenging and deep than this trash, and monopoly was designed over 30 years ago on pen and paper withoout a pc.

You are the consumer, the customer. YOU determine the product. if you buy trash, they'll sell you trash. If you buy halfassed, they'll cheer and make halfassed trash to sell you, because their profit margin is higher. When they're concerned you won't buy their trash, they'll slap "DIABLO 4!" on the box, and it'll sell anyways.
