I came here from Diablo 3!!! [Please post here if you did as well!]

Diablo 3 was the biggest dissapointment ive ever experianced (gaming related) wish i spent my birthday money on this instead! I doubt i have to say anything about the loot/ah situation but yeah im currently re-playing titan quest till i find somthing better.

All i need now is a beta invite.

I won't say I completely hate D3 but it certainly wasn't what I expected. I did however put close to 300 hours into it so I definitely got my $60 worth.

I felt the mechanics and fast pace gameplay added a nice edge, especially in HC. Played HC exclusively, burned through (and lost) a handful of level 60 WD's, was able to finally make it into Act II Inferno, and that's when things just started to get boring. I'd actually find myself falling asleep while farming Act I Inferno.

This was also the first experience I had with a "pay to win" system and it just sucks the life out of the game. Even in HC, when no real money is invovled, it's still easy to just farm gold and then buy exactly what you need. Do you need to purchase from the AH? Of course not, but I never would have made it into Inferno if I hadn't. The drops were just horrible, overall.

I am obsessed with summoner builds and that is where D3 failed me personally. After coming over to PoE and toying with the witch/summoner build, I was immediately hooked. Brought me right back to the D2 days. PoE dug its dirty, bloody claws into me and I won't be looking back.

Indeed, i know why blizzard dident have open beta becase they know that "Diablo3 would fail so hard.. They try to fix all problems with patches but come on we have wait sence 2008!! Its shame from blizzard just lie for us. They release something so bad that i cant think about, make me angry becase my money is gone....

Path of exile is Best rpg game sence Diablo2 time, and i hope the world get the open there eye on it, becase is Awsome =)

I'm former D3 player my self, i don't hate the game, and i don't love it, i really have mixed feelings about the game overall.

In general Diablo3 is a good game, yet, it shows NOTHING innovating, it has smooth and fastpaced arpg gameplay, it's really well done game if you look beyond horrible loot and nothing new to the genre and the fact character creation is not really present in the game.

Biggest thing i hated about diablo3 was that there was no loyalty to your build, you could just swap your build in blink of an eye. And this same thing is why i fell in love with POE, character creation is just so innovated and so personal that it goes beyond any other game i have ever played, and as a fan of finalfantasy 7 + 10 i just love it ! ( funny thing here is, that i didn't like any other finalfantasy exept 7 and 10, and this game's character creation is like combined of those 2 ).

I got bored of D3 (which isn't such a bad game, all things considered) because I didn't find what I was mainly looking for : character customisation. Skills and classes are so narrowly limited... And then gear-wise... Well if it doesn't have "main stat+vitality", then it's not even worth considering...

And then, after hearing about this here game on the D3 forums, I thought I'd just check it out... And went straight to the Passive Skill Tree section... And cried of merriment. I mean... just... wow...

then found PoE from the good fellas that posted about PoE over at D3 forums

and I've been enjoying it ever since

along with Torchlight 2 and MechWarrior Online (also closed beta)
