" Did you read the wiki page I linked to? The reason (mostly) everyone considers you as a troll is that you never seem to apply what's in that wiki page. Let me correct that last statement. You seem to systematically apply the exact opposite. For example, instead of going for what most people would understand with that specific affix, which is "I think it would be nice to have affixes in the form of [Damage type] is more efficient when doing [Specific kind of PvP].", you seem to be going for "I think this very specific affix would be a very good affix in PvP", and then apply that understanding to make the worse deduction you can think of. Debating is something that needs to go both ways. We can try all we want to honestly engage with you, if you don't try to reciprocate, then all we can hope for is that you get a well-deserved perma-ban. |

...wtf are you talking about?
you're talking bs and pretending it applies while completely omitting what was already said. and what's with those "quotes?" did you read nothing? how can i reciprocate when you don't know what you're talking about and just trying to make shit up? your many bizarre (and factless) statements about pvp demonstrate that you lack knowledge about it. there's nothing to "debate." Can we please go back to someone attempting to explain WHAT IS GAINED by removing HOGM from the Atlas? Because so far, we have
A - Nothing B - All of the above Adding HOGM as a possible drop in PvP is a neat idea and all, but not in any way relevant. It's a unique map with no crafting recipes, no exclusive unique drops, and nothing else gated behind entering it (much less completing it). ALL it gives you is an achievement (the first time) and 1% chance to upgrade maps (once per league). If you remove it from the atlas, the net result is the exact same as if you don't bother completing it in the first place: 1% less on your Atlas bonus. So all of these side conversations are interesting, but they just don't matter. We STILL haven't heard a single coherent argument in favor of making any change whatsoever, and multiple arguments in favor of leaving it where it is. It's PvP content, or "PvB" as Qiu_Qiu defined it.
Why should it be a map, on the Atlas, with 1% - or any percent - to affect any kind of experience, in PvE? The only reason I can think of, is absolutely nothing of what you wrote. It's because the cost/value of this map - a hundred Grandmaster packs - is too great to simply be exposed to a niche audience of PvP enthusiasts, in a game all about PvE. There is no reason. Only cold hard cash. Deal with that. You and your bridge dwelling friend. This is why people who probably have nothing to do with PvP like the OP, must take on this "map", as well as people like me who do enjoy PvP - but sure as hell don't expect it in a Map. Money. And it's broken even more than the cheesy builds and items used to conquer it. Feel free to brag about how you can do it naked. I don't give a fuck. Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat

^ literally made the most posts about removing the map.
literally provided not a single actual reason for doing so. hence, the recap. hence, your wild accusation. hence, the fact that you never even backed up your own accusation. [Removed by Support]

" I'm not bragging about doing it naked, the difficulty IS NOT AN ISSUE here. If it were literally 100 times harder, and I didn't have a chance of beating it on any build I've ever made, I'd STILL argue for keeping it in the game and on the Atlas. The issue, once again, is "should we ask GGG to remove content from the game without a very good reason for doing so" and the answer is NO. Shrinking the game because a small percentage of people don't like one tiny and entirely optional part of it makes absolutely no sense. Fine, so then you say you don't want it removed, just hidden. That's the worst of all three possible options: it's bad enough when people who know nothing about PVP see the map and don't know what it is. How much worse would it be if a newbie got it from Encroaching Darkness, and it didn't even show up on their Atlas when they checked for it? You keep saying "must" as if there were literally anything forcing you to do HOGM, but as I've patiently pointed out over and over again there just isn't. It just doesn't matter if you run HOGM or not, and I'm absolutely baffled by your continued insistence that it does. There are no uniques that only drop there. No crafting recipes. Nothing gets unlocked. JUST DON'T DO IT if you don't like it, and pretend it isn't on the Atlas. It. Is. Optional. I personally don't like Incursion, and I walk past every single Alva I see. Does this mean that I don't think anyone else should ever be allowed to run temples? Of course not, because that's the response of a child. Personally, I'm glad that POE has enough content variety for there to be things that appeal to different people; if everything was the same, the game would be boring. But I'm getting dragged back off-topic. So I've asked, over and over again, for anyone to list ONE single reason why this game is better served by removing HOGM from the Atlas, and time and time again the only response has been "because you have to do it" which is absolutely false, whereas the many, many reasons why this is a bad idea include: 1 - It's content unlike anything else currently in the game, which POE needs MORE of, not less 2 - It showcases builds made by supporters, keeping POE free to play 3 - Many build engineers use it as a benchmark for how strong their builds are 4 - It provides another 1% atlas bonus, which translates to easier map sustain for people who clear it 5 - It's not HIDDEN CONTENT, which is never, ever, ever the right solution 6 - Many people actually ENJOY running it I've given you a truly embarrassing number of chances to bring a single argument to the table, but you just keep refusing to do so, and I'm done. I can't keep pretending to take anyone seriously when they don't take themselves seriously enough to know the difference between facts and opinions. Time to let this thread die. |

" PvB ? What the flying hell ? Do you know what a bot is ? it's shortened for robot => something piloted by an artifical intelligence. Do you know what PvE means ? Player versus Environement, which AI driven entities are a part of. There is nothign PvP about HogM, period. It has slightly different rules than the game, which can make it confusing, but in absolutely no way is it PvP ( and PvB is such a silly notion ... nop ). If it indeed was gating one sextant, it would all ahve been arguable. But it does not, the only thing it's gating is one precent completion that has pretty much no impact on anything. It's amazing in a way, that this thread is at its 9th page already ... SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. @ARealLifeCaribbeanPirate,
not removing and not hiding - moving. From the Atlas (PvE. Main game) into a place PvP players can access. Non-map. Both Qiu_Qiu and Head_Less presented solid ideas how to do it, and what rewards it may have. GGG won't do it because of one thing: money. When the combined value of this map outweighs literally any other content in the entire game, and there's more MTX on display in a single hallway than in rush hour Oriath - they won't limit this to only the minority of players who know what PvP is. No matter how broken it is, no matter how bullshit some characters inside are, it's gonna stay right there for everyone to see. Heck, if GGG were a AAA company - they'd put it in the middle of The Atlas, bigger than Shaper's Realm. A hundred fucking thousand $ man. So you can go on and on about how "optional" you think it is, how gud you are farming it, and how you want OP, me and anyone else who dares call HoGM in it's current iteration BS, to git gud. Ultimately, there is only one reason. @Fruz, read some posts first. Then we will have our usual argument.
